A lefty, Diamond is an extreme ground ball pitcher and almost never gives up walks. The Cubs rank dead last in total offense against lefties so I don't think they'll be able to do much damage. Diamond's style certainly limits teams to small innings so if he does concede runs it will probably happen one at a time. Opposite him is Jeff Samardzija. A righty, Samardzija is my #23 ranked pitcher because of his consistently low ERA-scaled advanced metrics and his high K%. The Twins have struggled against righties this season ranked #26 in total offense. Expect a lot of quick innings before things start to open up in the second half of the game. Lean Twins on the side.
