The Athletics and Twins should score early and often in their contest tonight at the Metrodome in Minnesota.

Two red hot teams match up here and we expect plenty of offense to be the end result in tonight's game in Minnesota between the A's and Twins.

The A's come in having won three of their last four and scoring 32 runs in the process. The Twins have won three straight and scored 23 runs in those games. With each team averaging roughly eight runs of offense per game in their recent contests we look for a lot of fireworks at the Metrodome tonight.

The Athletics have been winning many of Joe Blanton's recent starts but their offense has been a real key as Blanton has actually allowed 60 hits over his last 43.2 innings of work. Blanton was hammered here in Minnesota in April and he does struggle on the road in comparison with his home outings.

As for Carlos Silva, the Twins righty is coming off of a surprisingly solid road start in his last outing. However, prior to that Silva was 0-4 in his last five starts. In that stretch of work, Silva allowed 22 earned runs on 42 hits in 26.2 innings of work. Versus Oakland this year Silva has been knocked around for 17 hits and nine earned runs in 12 innings of work.

We don't see either hurler in tonight's contest being able to shut down the opposition. The end result should be a game that gets over the total by the middle innings.
