    September 8 Ganchalysis

Pittsburgh 53% - Cincinnati's offense is not producing at all right now, and Ian Snell and the Pittsburgh bullpen, while far from fearsome, will challenge Cincinnati nevertheless. Kyle Lohse has always been a streaky pitcher, and he is coming down hard from his run of good starts of a few weeks ago. Pittsburgh's offense, which does have a bit of pop and hit well at Chicago in their last series, will be primed for a good night here against Lohse in a hitters' park. Pittsburgh should be a favorite, not an underdog in this situation.

Milwaukee 52% - Both teams have strong starters, shaky bullpens, and modest lineups going tonight. However, Milwaukee rates an edge playing at home. Ben Sheets is also in a promising statistical spot after having gotten crushed twice in a row by the generally unimpressive Houston lineup. He is slightly likely to outpitch Roy Oswalt, giving Milwaukee value as a home underdog.
