You have Wilson coming in here tonight off a 5 year 77.5 million dollar contract, Pujols singed a contract for numbers higher than his batting average at the present and he is off to the worst start of his career, the Angels bullpen doesnt look solid and starters like Santana are struggling. The Angels are now 12 games into the season and already 6 games behind the best team in baseball in the AL West, it is still early but that wild card race in the American league is always tough with the Rays, Yankees, Sox and everyone else vying for those two spots, and the way the Rangers are playing , the Angels are already digging themselves a major hole. They need to beat teams like the A's at home.

Wilson is the one investment Moreno made that seems to be paying off, starting the season off 2-0 with a 1.38 ERA. The A's are actually hitting the ball, almost equaling their total for runs scored for the entire year over the last few games but I don't think this offensive output will last from looking at their rosters numbers. If there is any spot right now for the Angels to break out of this 4-8 record and stop the fall, tonight is it.
