These two teams are deadlocked with identical records which are exactly .500 (61-61).

Although San Diego's righthander Clay Hensley has pitched well lately with a 2.41 ERA in his last 3 starts, he is getting virtually no run support and as a result has only won 1 of those 3 starts.

It's the same old story for San Diego; their pitching is decent, but their hitting just stinks. They are 12th in the league in batting average and 14th in runs scored. And they have a losing record record at home to boot. Arizona's Claudio Vargas is certainly not going to challenge anyone for the Cy Young award, but the D-Backs have had some success when he takes the mound, especially during day games where Arizona is 8-2 in his last 10 starts before the sun goes down. Even with the loss on Friday night, the D-Backs are 7-2 in their last 9 against San Diego.

Take the Arizona Diamondbacks.

As always, good luck.
