The Dodgers just continue to roll! Last night's 4-2 win over the Rockies marked their 9th win in 12 tries this season, and they improved their August mark to a perfect 8-0.

In fact, the Dodgers have won 11 in a row and I see no reason to play against this fantastic winning streak right now. Sure, Rockies starter Jeff Francis has been the best story of their pitching staff this season, but even he's no match for this Dodger club that's doing everything right in every facet of the game. Pitching, hitting, and defense has sparked this club along with a couple of trade deadline deals that look to have put this club over the top in the NL West. With San Diego losing a tough one to the Mets last night, the Dodgers have now pulled even atop the standings after many had written them off only a short two weeks ago.

Dodgers hurler Derek Lowe is coming off one of his best starts of the season vs. Florida that saw him go 7 strong while only giving up 5 hits and 1 earned run with 5 K's and no free passes. He's 3-1 in his career vs. the Rox, and won his only start in LA vs. them last season. The Dodger bats crave left-handed pitching as they average a full run higher (6.1) than their all game average (5.1). Francis is a tough cookie, but there's simply no reason to play against the blue and white at such a reasonable price.

Look for the Dodgers to continue their dominance of the Rockies and extend their winning streak by one more this evening.

    SLAM YOUR MAN!!!
