He tried to micromanage the sh!t outta the game, and it exploded in his face. So many pitching and defensive substituions really backfired on him. How are you going to let Motte give up a bloop single and a line drive single, and not give him a chance to clean up his mess??? Instead, you take out a guy throwing 96-98, and bring in Rhodes to face Hamilton. Josh probably came to the plate with a smirk on his face knowing he could easily elevate a get me over slider or 88 MPH fastball.

Because of all the substitutions, Tony was forced to hit with Punto and Schumaker in the 9th...Yikes!

What baffles me is how much credit Tony got after Game 1, and how much heat Ron got? Why aren't there any articles or discussion about how LaRussa really mucked this game up, and how Washington made the right moves????
