Jun 28 Milwaukee.Brewers.MLB.com reports Milwaukee Brewers SP Doug Davis (back) was scratched from his Thursday, June 29, start due to lower back stiffness.
The Brewers will instead go with right-hander Geremi Gonzalez, a former Cub who will be making his first Brewers start. Gonzalez, acquired on May 26 from the Mets for right-handed reliever Mike Adams, is 0-0 with a 6.08 ERA in seven appearances this season, including three starts. All four of his appearances with Milwaukee have come in relief, most recently a 4 2/3-inning scoreless stint at Kansas City in relief of Davis.

I read this morning or was it last night.....anyway that Rios fouled off a pitch and it hit his shin in Tuesday's game. It swelled up pretty bad so he maybe out a few games. So I wouldnt count on him being in the line up today.
