    MLB Trivia - 6/28/06

Henry Aaron has 755 of 'em and Barry Bonds has 719. But only two pitchers allowed a home run to both of them. Who are those two hurlers?

One for guessing only please (It will be too easy to look up). Since 2002, which 3 batters lead the majors in strikeouts?

    Dead on for Dead Money...

Frank Tanana is indeed one of only two pitchers to allow homers to Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds. Tanana surrendered a fat one to Aaron on June 14, 1976, home run #748 by The Hammer. Tanana gave up career home run #201 to Bonds back on July 17, 1993.

Charlie Hough is not the other pitcher, though you are looking for a right-hander.

Not Ryan. Aaron took him deep twice (career homer #606 in May 1971 and career homer #740 in June 1975). But Barry Bonds never touched up The Express.

The right-hander you're looking for had at least 200 career wins, so he is a fairly well-known pitcher.

    Stumpage is da' man

Rick Reuschel is the other pitcher to give up a home run to both Henry Aaron and Barry Bonds. Big Daddy gave up career homer #691 to Aaron in June 1973, and allowed career homer #93 to Bonds in May 1990.

Thanks guys...Glad I got it, because I find these to be obsessive. Saves me from going through the Niekro stats, as he (they) were the next option I felt.

Sorry, Owned. Didn't see this one until now. Where did you post that?

My first two guesses would be Dunn and Burrell. Maybe Preston Wilson for #3?

Jim Edmonds always seems to be good for 130+ K's a year, so I'm guessing he's one of the three, at least. Like Willie Bee, I'm sure Dunn is there but have no idea who another guy might be...Maybe Mark Bellhorn?

Dunn is #1 and Burrell is #3. Edmonds and Bellhorn are incorrect. This 3rd guy has had several golden sombreros this year if I'm correct

Not Preston Wilson, huh? I know A-Rod strikes out more than most people think, but I'm still hesitant to throw him out for a guess. Sexson missed too much time in 2004 to count, I'm thinking. Only other names I can think of are Soriano and Wilkerson.

Not Preston, it was your other fantasy boy, Wilkerson.

Good job guys. All my trivia comes from the FSN broadcasts, lol. I saw that during the Rangers/Giants broadcast last night.

Should've known it was someone from one of my fantasy teams Good question, Owned. Wilkerson gets lost in the shuffle a lot playing for the 'Spos before and the Rangers now.
