Well couldn't get the lead but have made it interesting so hopefully extra innings will be here. If they win they would tie the Rangers for the longest winning streak in the AL this year.
Yeah, they aren't playing the best opponents right now it's still hard to win 12 in a row in baseball and the way they are doing it with some good comebacks is incredible.
this team is my current ws pick..sounds stupid because they're streaking like this, seems like ive just been wathin a lot of espn but this team is really good. they can go far and ive been saying this for a while
i ALMOST took them at +650 today when they were down 4-1 on bodog. by the time i decided to take it, it was off the board and like 4-2
they were even a great comeback team last year and are even better at it this year.
whitesox were up like 8-1 against them maybe 10 days ago and they came back and won with late game heroics. (brad penny pitched that game aswell.)
It's not the MLB dude, it's the tigers. Theyve been coming back in impossible-looking spots for about a month now. You gotta pay attention to the Tigers as much as I do. They rarely lose nowadays.
Top of the 9th: Detroit homers. 3-5
Top of the 9th: Detroit homers. 5-5
Bot of the 9th: Runner on 3rd, 1 out - double play. 5-5
Top of the 10th. Detroit singles. 6-5
Top of the 10th: Peralta flies out, Raburn strikes out swinging both combined in 10 seconds.
Bot of the 10th: Easy 1,2,3 inning.
Tigers win.
Like I said, very well done. But Detroit shoulda won in the 13th/14th in order to make it not that obvious.
But that's my opinion, of course there are no fixes in sports, let alone in MLB. Just the power of the Tigers.
No the Sox are just really bad right now. I think lots of internal stuff going on as well (it keeps bubbling to the surface), this hasn't been a fun year for fans, players and coaches.
