you'd think they'd use their bullpen. sigh. 4 run lead going to the 8th and it's blown.

I can't believe it either. I lost last night in the bottom of the ninth with Rivera. Now this. Nobody could predict this garbage. How can you predict that the Padres leftfielder was going to drop a easy fly ball in the bottom of the eigth, which would facilitate a Mets victory? You can't. Nobody could. Oh and anytime I bet against the Padres, Heath Bell looks like the best reliever in the world. 3 easy outs every time. Then I bet on the Pads and Heath Bell is a piece of crap. So angry right now

Before Monday night, the Padres hadn’t lost a game in which they led by four runs or more in the eighth inning or later was Sept. 18, 2006 at Dodger Stadium.

Monday marked the first time the Padres lost when leading by two or more in the ninth inning or after since June 1, 2008, at San Francisco, when they took a 3-1 lead in the top of the 10th, but lost, 4-3.

The Padres had won their last 187 games in which they led by two or more in the ninth or later. It was the longest active streak in the major leagues and the longest streak of its kind in Padre history.

Furthermore, the Mets had lost 195 straight games when losing by 2 or more runs in the 9th inning.

Bell is far from a shit closer...It is a shame we all lost and he blew the game, but that is very rare for him. One of the most dependable closers in the game the past few years

I've been on the Mets for the past two days.

Everyone has been on the Padres, but before the first pitch of the game before yesterday when Bell blew it, didn't anyone see Mets get seriously pounded on the ML? Someone must have took notice besides me
