Jacoby Ellsbury for MVP anyone? Thoughts?
This guy is putting up some monster #'s and really no one is even talking about it.
all AL ranks
AVG = .321(4th)
RUNS = 84(2nd)
HR = 19(12th)
RBI = 72(10th) as a lead off hitter
SB = 31(4th)
Hits = 147(3rd)
doubles = 31(4th)
OBP = .377(11th)
SLG = .522(9th)
OPS = .899(7th)
Granderson, Bautista, Gonzalez are the 3 obvious other candidates.
Young and Cruz(Texas), Cabrera(det) and Konerko(white sox) are having nice years but a notch below these 4
Where does Weaver and Verlander fit in? Too bad some writers believe a pitcher can't be MVP. They belong in the discussion too

To be honest I was thinking the same, hes the catalyst of a top notch offense and is vital to his team. This sox team alone have quite a few candidates if you ask me
