    - it's jeff weaver vs jason vargas - vargas is in the midst of a nasty slump (losing 5 straight, era of 5+ in that stretch)

    - weaver hasn't given up more than 3 runs in his last 10 outings, he has been unbelievable

    - angels swept the mariners before all star break, don't see any reason why they don't dominate again.

    - Weaver has an amazing record at home - 6-1 with a 1.70 era in 9 starts

    - Seattle has lost 8 of 9 on the road, majority of which were blowouts
