They still have a ton of talent, as much as I don't like them.

they always do this... they score 12 runs in 4 games.. and split in TB
than score 14 in 3 immings.. and win by a mile..

why lose two games by a run, and win by 7

they're finished... they can't do this against a playoff team
    it won't work

yep. as predicted win by 10.. lose by 1 or 2

watch tomorrow– Butterball lays turd for the Yanks
the guy (colon) has not won a game past July 5th since 2005. that's baaad.

seems like big talent won't sign with them anymore.. (due to their washed-up'ness)

You people are morons, it's actually funnny lol! The Yankees are one of the best teams in the league. I'm not even gonna waste my time pinpointing reasons why this thread is a complete joke, because anybody who knows baseball and is a true fan would laugh at this.

nah....AROD is done for the season..sure he will come back...but wont be much of a factor. This is the last day I play on the YANKS. Their line up is a joke

Granderson batting 3rd. JOE IS A MORON. Watch he will end with 31 HRs...that is still solid but folks have caught on to him and he has cooled severely

    Gardner is a zero....

So with NO AROD...you have GARDNER....OLD MAN and then Granderson...come on.....and TEX is batting less than he weighs....

    NAH

They will be lucky to win the wild card

They are very talented and have a quality guy in each spot in the line-up. Not many teams can say that.

if not the biggest payroll in the league normals dictates that....

losing to the A's today was a huge sign this team is unraveling....

NO one steps up and delivers when they need it. THEY EITHER ALL ARE CLICKING like last night...or NONE of them ARE....like today

    cant win doing that....

losing to the A's at home ......sad

i think you mean, "Yankies have the most paid player$ in the league. When they collect nobody can come close to touching them"

they get all the calls, and still split with terrible teams (2-2 vs. TOR w/Bautista out)
only split against TB bcoz BOS used up all TB's bullpen in the prev game (Game 1)

Umps tried to give it to the Yankies in the 9th.. but they still lost.

    yAnkz WASHed-Up

    Wankies lose tomorrow

    so right RATZZ

some of the calls the home ump gave to TEX....I swear he was going to pull out a TEE and let that stiff hit off of it....I swear I saw him going for it..

    What a joke....

they gave (yesterday) a huge call to GARDNER which started the bonfire..
they had scored a single run.. OAK up 2-1.. 2-outs

and the Yank-Ump calls him safe at 1st. (face-first slide)

Cahill has had prob with NY in past and unravels..
once that happens, Yanks are expensive enough team to put up runs when they start.

I love it that Texeira has not hit a HR in 60 Abs...
cracks a huuuge yankie GRAND SLAM.. when are already up 7 in a BS- At-Bat (game already over)

but today when down 1 (critical high-pressure AB)... just sucking his thumb

    Go Tex.

Simple answer is Yes, and their legacy is gone. their aren't many good young players that want to sacrifice the extra money to live and play in NY. If the Yankees offer a player $15 mil a year, Texas could offer them $9 mil a year and it would be a better deal if you figure in taxes and cost of living expenses, unless they are Gay and want to get married.

lol.. plus the fact that you can't even grow any facial hair, even if you wanted to..

if i had a baseball team i would say.. "hey, we'll pay you $12M, but you gotta be 'in-shape" you can't be 100 lbs overweight like Colon, or 70 lb over weight like Joba,..

CC is fat but hard to tell him anything.. but no way he wouldn't be better if slim
fat does not help anybody except Sumo wrestlers and offensive linemen.

that hardline short haircut is total BS. these are grown men. they are multi-millionaires.
they can wear their hair any way they want.

you think that did not factor in with Lee's decision?
"You mean i have to shave everyday?"

    i take it ALL back.

    Yanks Rule

    Best Team EVER.

even better than last year's team (which was 'best team ever' to that point in history)

that said. Today's Yankies (July 24th, 2011) is better that yesterday's team
which was better than the day before ..

but all of them BTE.. for sure and totally

kinda scary to think that tomorrow's Yankies will be even better than today's..

    but they will

I hate the Yankees in but when you slap down $197 million for a team it's a huge fail if you don't make the playoffs and even if you do if you don't get to the World Series it's still somewhat a fail with a salary that big.

i think this clinches it... giving up 17 hits (maybe more) to the worst hitting team since the 70's

you have to be able to sweep the A's or the Mariners.. both are TERRIBLE hitting teams,,

    Yanks washed-up... awful pitching..
NO WAY they can go deep in playoffs against serious hitting..
    in a 7 game series..

dude seattle was due for a win and felix hernandez is godlike while pitching in yankee stadium.... missing arod is a big deal ...but being the 15 games over or whatever they are with only one starting pitcher is the biggest key in the entire situation.... the only pitcher they can trust to take a start is CC ... colon picked up and so did freddy garcia ... so imagine if the yankees did have one or 2 more decent starters>>>>they'd be first in their division .... everyone says they need to add a bat to their lineup but meanwhile they need a starting pitcher .. this thread to be honest was absolutely pointless and all ratzz wanted was to feel important on this forum and make it look like he knows baseball ...... we all know at the end of the year the yankees will still be in the playoff hunt so just let them play and enjoy october baseball if you are a yankee fan

ANY team is due to win after 6-7 losses.... funny how it happened to 'tha yankies' at home..

kinda hard to have an edge in playoffs unless a team is scared to play on your field...
Fear of the Yanks has been waning... after this debacle– it has been obliterated...
this is the worst hitting team in decades

nobody is afraid of the Bronx now....
Yanks will be out in the ALDS.. (even a cricket fan knows that..)
