I am a Tigers fan and have been my whole life being born and raised in Michigan, so yes I am a homer but I try to pick my spots carefully. Sparky is one of those iconic figures in Michigan sports. I look for this team and crowd to be amped up big time for this game. There should be a lot of energy at the park today. Just saw line up for Detroit has been posted and Leyland isn't putting out all the backups like he tends to do for Sunday and game 3's of series.
Line up
1. Austin Jackson, CF
2. Casper Wells, RF
3. Magglio Ordonez, DH
4. Miguel Cabrera, 1B
5. Victor Martinez, C
6. Jhonny Peralta, SS
7. Brennan Boesch, LF
8. Brandon Inge, 3B
9. Ryan Raburn, 2B
Now the biggest ? for this game is Brad Penny. Yes Brad Penny is not a great pitcher, however he does have his moments. I like Penny's track record versus Arizona as well. Penny is 10-3 when starting against ARIZONA with an ERA of 1.99 and a WHIP of 1.048 over his career. Penny is only 1-3 in last 6 starts with 2 no decisions. Although his last start against Dodgers was probably his best of those 6. I look for him to have a decent game today and get back to the home dominance he had at beginning of season. Tigers hit lefties well. Saunders is only 2-5 on road and 1-2 in last 3 against Tigers and overall. He is nothing to be worried about. I also like to see that the public isn't all over Detroit(mainly because of Penny I would imagine) so I don't feel too square about this play.
