This series has been all about the pitching as only 7 total runs have been scored through the first two games. The trend of strong pitching should continue in the rubber match with Buchholz and Price heading to the hill.
Buchholz has rebounded from a slow start and is 4-0 with a 2.66 ERA over his last 8 starts. He has only given up 3 earned runs in 25 1/3 innings in his last four starts against Tampa Bay. Price is 3-1 with a 2.54 ERA in his last four starts versus Boston.
Going to the trends we find that the Under is 6-1 in Buchholz's last 7 starts overall, 10-1 in his last 11 road starts and 3-0-1 in his last 4 road starts vs. the Rays. The Under is also a strong 22-7-1 in Price's last 30 home starts.
We've seen these AL East rivals play to the Under in each of their last 5 meetings in Tampa Bay. Expect this trend to continue this evening.
