    mlb.tv early game blackouts, WTF?

I thought it was just the 4 pm EST games that got blacked out.

We’re sorry. Due to Major League Baseball exclusivities, live games occurring each Saturday with a scheduled start time after 1:10 PM ET or before 7:05 PM ET and each Sunday with a scheduled start time after 5:00 PM ET will be blacked out in the United States (including the territories of Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands). Live Audio of this game is available as part of your MLB.TV subscription.
It even says "AFTER 1:10 PM ET". The 3 games today started right at 1:10.

That's why I quit getting MLB TV. A team can call just about anywhere that doesn't have a team a "Home Market" so the local cable company gets the rights to the games. MLB is so screwed up that way. So, you have to have your local cable sports add on, DirectTV sports add on, and Dish Add on to see all the games. Big friggin rip off.

Damn - that really sucks. I just got it this year but this was the first Saturday I've been able to use it. Can't even watch the first group of games. Thanks for the info.

Im at the Venetian Sportsbook in Vegas and even they can't show any games here. FOX has all the rights. Unreal.

Yea, I live in Vegas. I used to Have DirectTV with the sports package (FSN networks) and MLB TV. I could not get the Angels, Dodgers, D-Backs, Rockies, Giants, Mariners, and Rockies home games because the local cable cable company (Cox) had them and they were considered "Home" teams in Vegas. I cancelled immediately and got cable. Now, I get most of these teams plus all of what's on WGN, TBS, VS, and all of ESPN among others. College football, Hockey, NBA, and college Hoops are even better. Nice to have 7 "home" teams in Vegas huh? Like I'm gonna buy season tickets or travel to the games. Friggin stupid.
