    Arizona Vs. St.louis

Arizona (even) is a slamdunk pick. Pineiro is 0-3 in September 8.4 ERA. Davis 2.59 ERA in September and D'Backs still hanging on by a limb for the NL West, a must have game for them. 4 Dback wins in Davis' last 5 starts. In Davis's last 8 starts his ERA is 2.125.

    Arizona (even) for 2.5 units.

that is good info artie.... I looked at some of this earlier today too after i saw today's lineup with 5 of the top cardinal players out of the lineup. I wanted to make a strong play on st. louis for tomorrow then saw these stats... however for now its a no play for me..... soley on the fact that pujols, barton, glaus, molina, ludwick are all gonna be fresh for tommorrow...

I know that somthing like that doesn't seem like a big deal... but a few years back I returned to competive baseball in a city league here in chicago at the age of 28. Its mostly washed up former college and minor leaguers and some current small college players home during summer, mixed in with former high school stars and wannabe's too..... I couldn't beleive the amount of pain my body felt at the age of 28 compared to 21-22 from playing baseball 3 days a week. and I have always worked out, run, ect know at the age of 31.. forget about it... if we have 4 or 5 games scheduled in a week due to double-header rainouts ect... i can't move... and my performance is completely different...

these are professional athletes.. but still its a long season.. going back to spring training... some players are on their 180-190th game... the small aches, pains, nicks, sprains add up... and even one day can do wonders. I've been very successful in betting on a team that has had some extra rest for certain players, even important players after coming off dl for minor injuries seem to catch fire after an initial regaining their timing period...

all this lengthy explanation to say... i think that davis's numbers and pinerio's numbers are prob a bigger impact in this game, then having fresh stars.... but its not as huge of a slam dunk as you may think... besides... zona's bull pen still has to win it..

despite pitching well of late.. davis doesn't go tooo deep into the games..AND zona rarely gives him much run support... in FACT he has not gotten a decision in his last FIVE games... so in his last five games he put his team in position to win.. but ultimately it fell to the hitters and and bullpen to win or lose it.... That's why people put way too much stock into starters and forget about bullpens or clutch hitting

Your right "Chi" definitely not a slam dunk pick, no pick is a slam dunk. I guess I was lil excited when I wrote it last night after hitting that Dodger runline. I know Cards will have some starters back in lineup, but Arizona's back is against the wall and they stranded 11 runners last night, and any team with a back bone will find some way to come thru with some timely hitting the next day. On top of that Pineiro has 7.2 ERA against DBacks in 2008. If Dbacks get to him early I think it will be blowout, however if they let him stick around and scatter his walks and runs it could be bad.
Big Lean toward DBACKS, good picks to all.

Davis' day and night splits isn't encouraging. Both pitchers are about even in daytime, which easily gives the edge to the better line up. My leans would be Cardinals and Over.

I like Cardinals a lot at current -105 price. Pineiro might very well be able to contain D-backs lineup. Their hitting on the road is far from spectacular. They are almost done anyway.

Yes, the Dbacks are DONE. Take that to the bank. Davis' daytime ERA is 6.11. Worse, he's on the road. Even worse, the Card's lineup today is pretty strong - Puyols, etc.
    Cards, Cards RL, and Over.

We shall see, looks like the line is moving in the DBacks direction at Bet Jamaica. I will take a pitcher who's team has won 4 out of his last five starts than Pineiro who just lost to Dbacks 8-6 back on 9-01-08, and has lost last 3 starts.
DBACKS 2 units! Pad that bankroll early, and jump on the Tulane/SC Trojans later on tonight..

finnally they bring in some of those runner. With 13 hits should be killing the dbacks by now but I'll take this lead, now we need Cards shitty bullpen to hold on.

Nice. Pineiro threw a good game and Cards bats showed up today.

10-3 bottom 7th. Should be enough!
