Extremly difficult to punch through her defense, once the players go into rally. because in these slow conditions she runs everything down and either turns defense into offense with one shot, or hits a deep loopy ball to opponents backhand which is almost imposible to attack from. That's why she is favored, but Vesnina does have her own chances. Especially if she manages to get some first strike tennis going on. Meaning being extremly aggressive on return, because she gotta take adevntage of Kerber's weak serve. And high 1st serve% is also pretty important here to hold he games. She simply needs some easy, short points, because she should struggle in those longer baseline exchanges. Majority of players do when playing vs Kerber.
