    Wawrinka +7 games (-115). I like his chances to keep it close and maybe pull upset

    it was at -105 this morning but i thought it would stay for a few more hrs, cost me 10 fawkin cents.

    anyhow, Stan The Man playing strong tennis. only 3-19 vs Djoker lifetime but 1-1 in slams incl 5 set win over him in '14 aussie.

    Just had to correct that for you real quick buddy. Not trying to be a douche at all, just want to make sure no one is misled. Joker has 2 wins to Wawa's 1 at the Aussie, including a 5 set win in the '15 Australian Open just a few months ago. He also holds a 2-0 record in the U.S. Open, although one of those Wawa retired in the 3rd set down 3-1 after losing the first two 6-4, 6-1 (so that one can pretty much count as he was dominated). This is the first time they will have faced each other in the FO, and they have yet to meet at Wimbledon as well.

    Joker is 5-1 all-time h2h on clay, only losing a total of 2 sets (the lone loss was a Joker retirement their very first clay match before the first set was even completed). Before Murray the other day, Joker hadn't lost a set on clay since Nishikori in Rome.

    Not trying to say Joker is a lock or anything, but he will win. He has achieved his dominant form from a few years ago when he won several Slams (perhaps even better now some can argue), and this is the only Slam he hasn't claimed yet. He knocked out the greatest clay-courter the sport has ever seen, and has more confidence now than he's ever had. He has been hungry for this title more than any other, and absolutely nothing will stand in his way and keep him from winning tomorrow.

    Having said that, other than ML the only bet I am considering is the total - I honestly believe Wawa can play a couple sets close, enough to push this over the total (even if loses in straights), but ultimately I think betting Over 3.5 sets or Wawa +2.5 is the way to go. Wawa could very well cover this spread, but if Joker starts off hot and destroys him the very first set, Wawa will be lucky to recover enough to win one set, much less the spread. Joke ML is by far the safest bet here, but I will probably have a little on the two above as well as Joker 3-1 set score.

    BOL to everyone on their plays for the morning! I hope it will be a good match that goes at least 4 sets!

    Btw my post wasn't intended to be negative or anything, and I apologize if it came across that way! I just didn't know if everyone knew they've met several times in Slams. But you are correct in that what matters most is the last couple years, in which they both won 5 setters (Wawa in '14 and Joker in '15), and Wawa is better now than he was before. Don't know that I have the balls to touch the spread, but the game and set total are certainly appetizing. Either way, he certainly has the game to keep it close, I just don't think it'll be enough in the end.

    Here's to a close, entertaining final where we all win our respective wagers (except for those on Joker spread of course lol)!

    Too much hype for Wawa. His main strength is the ability to produce incredible winners coupled with a good serve, which is great on hardcourts, but on clay Djoker should be able to return more of those incredible shots. The fatigue factor for Djoker might actually motivate him even more to be as focused as possible from the get-go. I really do not think Novak will want to play a contested 4-setter today. Should be a fun match nonetheless. Let's hope Wawa finds his inner Nadal and makes it interesting.

    wawa has been playing very well though. His backhand is no joke. Although he did beat an aging federer and Tsonga. Wawa at +7 I think definitely has a chance, although ive already got Joker to close a parlay

    Again you don't know what you're talking about. None of that matters its about how those players are playing at the moment- form. You can watch for 2000 years but if you dont understand what you're watching then it doesn't matter. Taking him to 5 sets on hard in the past has nothing to do with today, AND its on a different surface. Wawa was playing better when he beat Joker last year. Nole has been playing better than Wawa for a while now.
