A shade lower that the closing price from the US Open when they met. Seems appropriate. Stan hasn't played a lot indoors the last few years. Baghdatis has played fairly well on the surface over the years. It's a 250 event, so why does Stan care whereas Baghdatis has had a horrid season mostly and would probably have more motivation to push deep into this tournament. I think the only reason Stan is playing here is to get a match or two in before Beijing next week. I'd be careful if you're think Wawrinka is going to beat him easily, but an experienced man of the World such as yourself should know this.

Biggest mistake is when players think a lesser event means nothing, its why they accomplish nothing
All the great players try to win every fukkin event that is why theya re great and always in a winning mode

    Eagles good write up

    You talked me off it

He could very well win. If it's the "new" Stan Wawrinka, then he's obviously got the talent - but considering the set-up and all, it's either pass or take a shot at Baggy.

You are an idiot. "A million times" you were wrong then.

He has played 6 tourneys that were 250 or 500 levels this year. His record is 15-5 (and 1 of these was due to an injury)

He's won 1 tourney.. made the finals in 2 of them... and made the QF or better in all but 1.

You don't have a clue once again.

Take it even further, 250 tourneys this year:

    - Buenos Aires.. .Finals
    - Casablanca... Semifinals
    - Oeiras.. Winner
    - Hertogenbousch... Finals
    - Gstaad... QF (retired due to back injury)

He sure doesnt care about those 250s.

Apples and oranges every tournament. Three of those were clay tournaments during what was a solid period for him in the Spring. There's never a blanket statement where you can say a guy will or won't be motivated, it's situational. My own opinion here is that Wawrinka doesn't have a ton to play for this week other than getting a little hard court tennis under his belt. Having played just the Davis Cup match which was more or less a practice session, he doesn't have much match time under his belt since the US Open. Doesn't mean he loses or that he's not a good play, just my opinion that the line where it is doesn't mean Wawrinka is an easy play. I'd rather take a guy like Baghdatis who already has a match on the surface and a little more to prove.

You're the expert Dick, so post up your all-in ticket on Stan for us so we can reveille in your riches!

Matt made a blanket statement that Wawrinka doesn't care about 250s.

I proved he does... and the Netherlands tourney was NOT clay.. and really, it was the same situation as this.. to get some practice on grass. And what did he do? Make the finals.

    198183616-1 9/24/13 11:21pm $250.00 $412.50 $662.50 Win 9/24/13 11:15pm WTA Tennis 305 Eugenie Bouchard +165* vs Jelena Jankovic

This Richard guy acts like a self-righteous ass to every stranger on the internet, yet tries to bring attention to himself as some sort of human rights advocate? It's empathy that's required for there to be anything done about human rights violations such as the Israeli occupation of Palestine, and you're showing you completely lack such empathy. How you act here is comparable to the entitled way Israel acts towards the Palestinians and its neighbours and that has in fact caused the occupation and allowed it to persist. A hypocrite of the highest order.

Can't seem to find anything compelling enough to back Bag... can see a tiebreak or two, possibly o22.5? Stan the man should get it done but it's around -280.

If anything, Baggy first set is worth a shot. I still think matosevic +170 first set is the greater play

This Richard the Turd is hilarious! I was just about to say Wawrinka's been doing very well in 250's this year but kid beat me to it.

It's amazing how fast this shitty thread turned into something interesting.

Meh ... you know laying that kind of chalk in a 250 is never a smart idea, Lou/Shari.

I will say that Wawrinka actually should be motivated this week (and the rest of the season), as he is trying to fend off Gasquet and Tsonga for a spot in the World Tour Finals. He needs as many wins/points as he can collect if his heart is set on playing in London this November.

Firstly, whether you win more than half of your large wagers matters not, unless the average odds of your "large wagers" are above @ evens.

Secondly, please stop posting won wagers. There is no way what so ever to validate them, and claiming having made huge winning bets after they have already won is completely idiotic. You're making baby seals die – Nobody wants to see baby seals die.

Thirdly, congratulations on your massive cash-outs!
