    Prepaid Gift Cards

    Hey Guys,

I've been betting on and off for awhile now, but am looking to get more into it since I've had a very solid winning percentage in the past.

I'm wondering if any of you have had success depositing at sportsbooks with prepaid giftcards. If so, where did you deposit and what card did you use?

    Matt

To start off the conversation, I bought a $50 Vanilla VC today, and haven't had success depositing with it at any book. Cross those off the list...

I picked up a few of the ** international prepaids lately. Worked at bookmaker but sometimes their ** thing is down. Also, Intertops.com will take pretty much any card, seriously.

    Thanks man,

Intertops accepted the Vanilla VC card, and I found a code for a free $25.

U should probabaly stop being lazy and do your homework. Contact the sportsbook by phone or by live chat and ask them. You just want people to walk you through everything to make yourself feel better.

I would rather nicely ask people here if they had success with VC gift cards and if yes, what type of VC gift cards and at what books they were accepted rather than call possibly several dozen different books.

If people here are willing to help that's great. I think that the main point here at sbr. If people don't want to help then there's always the option of not responding to the thread.

Ouch, not sure that was necessary...

For your information, I have contacted almost all the books, and get very similar answers every time to the tune of "We don't really know until you try". That's acceptable, since they are offshore and you can't expect them to try to keep track of every kind of prepaid card a US customer might try to use.

It's more likely, however, that people here want to fund via the same method or have experience doing so. That's the purpose of this thread.

    Thanks for not helping...

    Matt

yes sportsinteraction accepts VC gift-2-go prepaid cards that you can buy at cvs or walgreens. i have deposited twice there each time with two different cards and it worked fine. you need to go to the gift-2-go site and register the card under your name then wait an hour after until you try to deposit or it will get declined.

I second most of that. I have never been declined using a "VC gift-2-go prepaid card." I did register the card each time on the website that it gives you on the card. I didn't have to wait an hour though before using it. Right after i registered i went straight to the book and it worked. I've got them to work at bookmaker, bodog, betjam and a poker site too, I'm not sure if it was the big one or the 2nd biggest one because it was a while ago i can't remember now.

I've also had success in the past with the "vanilla prepaid **" at bodog and bookmaker. But i haven't used the vanilla cards in about 1 year I'd say because after i found the gift-2-go card and heard from others it was good i just started using that. It's worked fine for me as recently as 3 or 4 months ago at bookmaker and in October at bodog. I haven't recently tried it at any other books but that is fine with me because consequently the two books i trust the most personally are bookmaker and bodog fwiw, they have always been 1st class to me and never had a problem at either one.

Some things that i was told before when trying to deposit with prepaid gift cards at books are as follows. ** prepaid cards sometimes have better acceptance rates than VC prepaid cards idk why, I've just heard that and i can vouch for the fact that when i first started i bought both a vanilla VC prepaid and a vanilla ** prepaid and tried them and only the ** would work not the VC. Look at the back of the prepaid card before you buy it and on the back if it says "for domestic use only" or "valid only in the u.s." then there is a 95% chance I'd say that it will not work at an online book. Finally if you can find a card that says "can be used internationally anywhere VC/** are accepted" or "can be used at online retailers worldwide" then there is a 95% chance I'd say that it will work.

In the past i have had 100% success rate using "** vanilla prepaid" and "VC gift-2-go prepaid" but like i said earlier i haven't used the vanilla cards in 1 year and my last attempt with the gift-2-go was in October. I've had 0% success rate depositing using a "VC vanilla prepaid" or any card that said "domestic use only" or "for use only in the u.s."

Oh and lastly this is just pure speculation but I've heard from others that the government got restrictive with VC and ** recently making them make most of their prepaid cards be "valid only in the u.s." so they could try and control or at least hassle those of us that gamble offshore, idk just what I've been hearing. IIRC though it was only like about 1 year ago that i started seeing those "domestic use only" statements on the back of prepaid cards they sell at the big box stores in the U.S. Hope that was at least somewhat helpful to somebody out there looking for some info. Oh and today is my birthday so Happy Flukin' Birthday to me and anybody else who's bday happens to be today. Let's all win some big @$$ money tonight. Peace.

So many other ways of getting your money there than $50 at a time. Direct deposits, E Checks, Bank wires...

I use to use ******** cards.. but that works - then a few weeks later it is not a valid method anymore.

As of a few days ago, 5Dimes support told me that credit card deposits wouldn't be available to new members for a few weeks, so I haven't been able to try anything out yet.

I think I'm going to do my next deposit with Intertops (to become pro) via ** though
