IASbet is Canbet? or Canbet is IASbet

    Hi,
    Please help me with this...
I am trying to find if www.iasbet.com is the same with www.canbet.com
because as I can see, they are at the same skin.
Who is better to bet with?
I am thinking in openning an account with IASbet and any users that have been there are welcome to tell their thoughts.
    Thank you

Thanks Ruifgalmeida for the response. Their odds are the same? They both pay if you win? Who is better?

They used to exactly the same but they now both have new owners.

IAS is owned by Paddy Power the big Irish firm so your money is safer their.

Although they have been doing weird things lately

IAS is safe if you are Australian.

There are better outs otherwise. If you play with them I wouldn't take cheap shots.

I don't think so. Paddy Power apparently have a controlling share but Mark Read's name is on IAS. They have an operation based in Australia and fall under the NT regulator for local clients. I know they have a European license like a lot of Australian books. I can talk to operators based in Australia if I choose. I think Canbet is under different management and owned by offshore interests.

Mark Read is a big name in the racing industry. An on course bookmaker. As an Australian player I feel my money is very safe with them. They have an individual who has a reputation to protect, who I can call out publically if I had a serious problem.

If I win BIG on correlated parlays, will I take my money or I 'll have to beg them for a year or so? Do they reduce the limits? I know that PaddyPower is world champion on that...

what you say about Mark Read was correct except that he no longer has anything to do with IAS (according to what they told me recently)

Nevertheless I would almost guarantee you that IAS is sound and trustworthly. Just about the biggest on racing in Oz and would be a very major shock to see them default .. now part of Paddy Power group.

Canbet a different matter .. I have withdrawn everything from there and wouldn't recommend anyone put money into them.

I'm playing IASbet - and they are good, the only problem I had was "crazy" verification process - read carefully about legible copies of docs (that's not just simple scans) search this forum for more info .

But once passed - the fun begins )

Do not bet on canbet big scam

for any1 thinking about depositing on canbet.com DONT!!!!

This sportsbook has stole my winnings and are not letting me withdraw, everytime i try withdrawing they just cancel the withdrawal and never sent me an email explaining why. After calling customer service they said it was my instadebit account which is blocked (complete bs) I know this because i use my instadebit account everyday it works fine and in addition i emailed them and they never even attempted to fund the account. they keep saying the moneys on its way but I know I'm not going to get a cent. I just hope other players do not get scammed so PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM CANBET.com. Unforutnately Ive had a bad run of luck i was part of betcasinosports as well they took 5 grand from me wish i knew about this site before :S

I used Canbet.com before 2007. It was a goood book in my opinion. However, they had to exit the U.S market since the UIGEA came out. After then, lots of negative news came from that site, and its rating on SBR keep going down..

It sounds like you are just giving up on it?
    Don't do that
They are regulated and if you are unable to get satisfaction from them lodge a complaint with their regulator who will follow it up for you. That's what they're for.. They will have to respond to them.
