Las Vegas sucks worse every time I visit no double deck games anymore

I was there for Super Bowl and I visited maybe a dozen casinos all of them have turned into machine blackjack games I didn't see a single deck or double deck came anywhere on the entire freaking strip even when I went to the Circa they didn't have it in downtown are these no longer existing anywhere in Las vegas? What's sad is that people keep flocking to the stupid machine tables and give them their money at least with double deck and single deck K
you had a little bit of a chance and would last a bit longer man shit is so pathetic most tables are also six to five now.

    TI, El Cortez, Ellis Island

TI is the only casino on the strip that offers 3/2 BJ at the lower levels as far as I know. They usually have a double deck game

    What about Red Rock?

But your point is taken. Las Vegas mostly = dump. Most good gaming opportunities are long-gone.

And the follow-up would be that the PLAYERS are worse. In other words, players don't care about seeking out good games. Give the players junk, and they'll play anyways.

FPDW video-poker gone. Double-deck 21 going away? Paying out 6/5 on Naturals is criminal.

Bingo. That's why they offer 6/5. If volume doesn't slow down, they'll keep 6/5.

Vegas is horrible. 6/5 BJ and triple zeros roulette!?! What’s next? If you don’t hit the wall on craps, then everybody loses.

I haven't been to Vegas in over a decade. Wonder if the shows there are still any good? I did like the steak and eggs at Ellis Island also.

Can't pay me to go to Vegas anymore. I don't like to fly and I certainly don't like to drive thru Barstow and Victorville anymore..

I heard there was talk of building a high speed train from LA to Vegas, would you ride that?

Probably if I wanted to load up and get paid cash that same day on a single bet that I thought can't possibly lose. Still it depends how fast that train gets there and if they have first class seating.

If there is one thing I learned after living there for years is people don't gamble to win, only for action

Look at the slot machines. Always the biggest amount of players and terrible return.

100%. It’s marketed as “entertainment” and every single game has more lights, videos and noise than a damn movie in 3D. There is a reason penny slots are jam packed all day every single day. Slots make up close to 70% of all casino revenue and card games you really are playing against the other player and moving the money around. Truly most would be better served to take the kick in the nuts for $500 and move on.

In most cases, you have to go off strip/downtown to find good blackjack games or good deals.

Agree with OP, Vegas sucks compared to what it was 10-20+ years ago. I have little to no desire to go anymore.

You are correct. They don't even care about the odds. It's $$ they've written off as Entertainment Expense, just like you say.

It's amazing how easy it is for the casinos besides the horrible odds the players are just so penetrating clueless. I saw a guy split fives against a six of course pure stupidity...he won that particular hand but can you imagine in the long run on top of their odds idiots like this show up and do these kind of things? Also there was a person who kept doubling four teens against a nine or 10 just the stupidest and weirdest shit it's like they want to give their money away

They are marketed and presented so well. It’s huge screens of shit. They have gamified it like a video game and people pump dollars in there non stop for the next visual.

There is a reason the drinks are free in Vegas. Liquor them up at the BJ table and then they start playing like dummies.

THIS. I don’t claim to be a card shark but if the table is full of people you can assure yourself it’s full of bad behavior and practices. Hard to even find a table worth sitting at. The casino loves and encourages bad play. The days of informed gamblers truly seeking out an edge are pretty much done. If you win too much… they will be on you for information in a minute.

Card shark indeed you’re not. Not even an informed player at that. But now you will be, mathematically, bad players help you as much as good players in blackjack.

Estimate is that the average 21 player plays to -2%. And that's when Basic Strategy should put a guy at no worse than -0.5%.

Yes, you see it all. Splitting the 5s, incorrect Stand/Hit. If Surrender is in play, some guys will surrender any stiff (12 to 16) versus 7+.

Vegas does everything to try and take your bank roll even before you hit the tables and sportsbooks..

They get you on extra crap hotel charges and hotel taxes, parking fees, etc.. now.

Ya, for sure, I've seen that. High minimums. If you want to ramp up your bet, you practically have to bet Black for $100+
