    Coolbet etransfer doesnt work

Was going to give Coolbet a shot for $50, they have Evander Kane to score @+157. Do up the etranfer with all the details provided. Sent the cash and now waiting for a couple hours. They payment department seems clueless as they have no idea what happened.

. They use Wyzia through Gigadat. I knew better to use anything Gigadat. They holding deposits hostage too now, not just withdraws. Coolbet says I have to chase it down, not their problem. The 1st and last deposit at Coolbet. I can imagine the rings of fire you need to jump through to make a withdraw

Never had a problem at Coolbet or any other book with etransfer, as long as the code Gigadat provides for the message section is correct (I copy paste) its always instant.

Can you guys please explain a little more about Gigadat for me?

So I know for the future when Canadians bring it up.

Why does Canada have these alternative money transfer services to start with? Is there no direct bank to bank transfers there? Or ACH style company?

Interac Etransfer is a service where Canadians can send/request money to/from another person/company via email. It is supported by pretty much every bank in Canada as far as I am aware. Some books allow direct bank deposit as well (ie ACH style) (Bodog for instance). Anyway, Gigadat is a company that acts as an intermediary for a lot of offshore books that want to take deposits via Interac Etransfer. You send your deposit to their email and by including a unique Message Id with your deposit they are able to determine which account at which sportsbook the deposit should be credited to. When done correctly, the whole process removes funds from your bank account and credits them to your sportsbook account in under 5 minutes in my experience. Now if the message ID isn't included or the name on the bank account trying to send the funds doesn't match the name on the sportsbook account, all bets are off as to how long it will take.

    Thanks Kakad.

I do know of Interac. Was just unsure where Gigadat fits in to the equation.

I thought Canadians could just send/receive money direct to each other via Interac alone.

Canadians can send directly to each other through Interac alone. They cannot send directly to offshore books through Interac though. There is always an intermediary ie Gigadat. I believe PremierPay? is another.

    Precisely this.
kakad has been spot on with his comments on Interac, Gigadat and Premiere Pay.

For those that are using Gigadat for etransfers to books you can check the status by inputting the message (code) you used to transfer.

Most likely the funds will be returned to your bank account automatically. Etransfers expire and with Gigadat they expire quickly.

Never had issues with coolbet, They always payout within 60minutes of my withdrawal too... Takes Gigadat a few days to send it but they send the withdrawal to them always within an hour for me anyway..

Next time try using the "Request money" feature with E-transfer deposits.. It will auto fill in the msg etc and all you gotta do is accept the request and it goes through instant.
