Hey everyone - I just had a really shady experience with MyBookie and wanted to get some thoughts on it. Luckily it is for a fairly small amount of money but what they did seemed really questionable.

I won $60 in a $10 buy-in blackjack tournament. That $60 was paid out to me as casino credit with 1x rollover. I didn't think anything of it since their free blackjack tournaments are all paid out this way (usually with 10x rollover). So I played the $60 in slots and ended up rolling it over and cashing out $210. The money was released into my regular account as normal cash. The next evening after over 12 hours of the money sitting in my account I realize that the $210 has been removed from my account and $60 has been credited back; they basically took the $150 I won playing slots. When I contacted customer service via chat they said the casino credit payout was a mistake and it should have been cash so anything I won with the casino credit was voided. They also essentially accused me of wrongdoing for not pointing out immediately that the prize was incorrect even though they messed up by initially giving me a worse prize (casino credit) instead of the cash prize I was apparently supposed to receive.

Summary:
- For some reason I decide to play a $10 blackjack tournament but win $60
- They mess up by giving me a worse prize of casino credit instead of cash
- I don't realize it's supposed to be cash but win more money using the casino credit
- They don't like the result of me winning with the casino credit
- They take the winnings and give me the initial prize in cash instead

I submitted a separate support ticket but I'm not optimistic they will resolve it. It just seems weird to me that they would make a mistake and then cheat me out of a relatively small amount of money and then admit the mistake but say it is my fault. And now there's no way I can trust this book in the future. Anyone else have an experience like this?

Hopefully you get some help here but from everything I've heard Mybookie is shady af. I'd consider it a cheap lesson and play at a reputable book that have A grades such as Heritage, Bovada, Betonline, or Bookmaker. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah I'm just going to chalk it up as a cheap lesson that will hopefully save me future trouble. Here is their response basically confirming exactly what I said but they are not going to rectify anything. Definitely will avoid this book in the future because if they are willing to do this over a couple hundred bucks I'd be terrified to have any meaningful amount of money with them.

We are very sorry but the prize you were entitled was $60 cash with 1-time wagering requirement from $5,000 Weekly Contest #1192, there was a mistake at the time the tournament was paid and instead of cash it was paid as a casino cash bonus.

With those $60 you played until you completed the requirement and you released $209.88, since we can confirm the prize was not paid correctly and you had won with the bonus which was not a prize you were entitled we had to void winnings.

Unfortunately, since we can confirm that the $60 cash prize with 1-time was paid to your gaming account those $209.88 will not be reimbursed.

We apologize for the inconvenience this caused you.

This is hilarious. Sorry, not funny for you. I just can't believe the depths to which this sportsbook will sink. They gave you a WORSE prize, and how you played it was functionally no different than what you would have done if you had won cash. They're acting like they gave you too much and are clawing back a mistake.

It really is hilarious. I was in disbelief that they would be this scummy; it's like an April Fools joke or something. You're right though, I might as well call and let them humor me. I'm really just thankful I didn't hit a jackpot or something for a few grand haha.

Right after I start talking, LOUD static that continues for a couple minutes and I have to disconnect the call without being able to speak with her at all. I call right back and they tell me I can't be connected to her again because she says she already spoke with me and resolved the situation. They actually have a static button LOL?. Silly me. I actually thought that you might have some luck with a supervisor because it seemed like one of those types of situations where low-level grunt workers might simply not have the ability to understand the issue. It's obvious you got screwed here.

Yeah I was actually feeling optimistic when I got the supervisor on the call... until that call kinda didn't happen lol. I'm somewhat in shock, I don't know if I've ever been treated so poorly by any company especially when I've been nothing but reasonable and respectful to them even after they straight up stole my money. Honestly though, being able to vent on here makes me feel way better so thanks for that.

I guess they are technically kinda sorta making the correct call. But it seems unreasonable for them not to wear their own error when it is not a significant amount like this.

I bet the roadblock you are hitting is due to someone in there having noted on your account that you let it happen knowingly and everyone else is just following that decision.

So a little bit of poetic justice here (for now). So those scumbags decide to rub it in my face a little more by giving me $20 casino credit with 40x rollover for my troubles. So basically I have to rollover $800 with $20 which is pretty much impossible; they only gave it to me to insult me. Well I somehow flip the $20 into $150 playing pai gow and then just put the slots on autobet until the $800 had been wagered (only slots count for rollover for casino credit on that site). Anyway I successfully rolled over out about $112 which is most of the money they scammed me for. Now the difficulty will be actually cashing out. Can't wait to see the clown show I have to go through to get this money off this god forsaken site.
