Betfair closed my account , can`t withdraw my funds 13 444 EUR

Betting exchange company “Betfair” closed my account, without any phone or email warning, now I can`t reach any data, or withdraw my funds 13 444 EUR . It was closed a month ago, on 2019 12 10 . I was using this account for more than 10 past years, never had problem, they closed my account just for nothing. When I contacted them by email, they asked to provide additional information and supporting documentation regarding the funding of my Betfair account, passport and other documents, that I am betting in legal funds. After 2 days on 2019 12 12 I have sent them everything they asked by email, about 900 documents, but my account is still closed. They told me to wait, and already 1 month I am waiting.

In the last 10 years I had about 5 times or more when I was asked from Betfair to provide some documents for my account verification from time to time, everything was OK, but this time they closed my account just for nothing! In past 10 years I was doing mostly Sports arbitrage betting - in lithuanian betting companies I place back bet with bigger ods , and in Betfair.com or in Matchbook.com I place lay bet on the same event, and have a little profit with no risk. Every year profit from betting is declared to Lithuanian Tax Office, and I pay them 15% from profit. Everything from my this activity in Betfair.com is legal and as clear as possible: in my “Skrill” and bank statements there are no transactions to other persons, only to a few other betting companies, when I bet in cash in Lithuanian betting shops, I save every cheque and sent everything to Betfair, where is seen that I am not loundering money or other illegal activity.

I thought I was ideal customer for them, in long term I have no profit in my account, also every year I pay about 5 000 EUR commission to Betfair, all my activity is legal and clear as possible, but I was wrong.

Please, maybe you could help to solve this problem?

It is a very interesting post.
How much money did you deposit in total to betfair? Did you deposit a bigger amount these last months? Maybe you ringed a bell. All UK bookmakers are asking for a tone of documents if you deposit bigger amounts.

Interesting... December 10 was around the same time that Betfair abruptly closed all of the broker accounts and kept the money. It's safe to assume Betfair confiscated customer funds totalling close to 7 figures that week... afaik no one has been refunded yet.

900 documents sent to them and they're still not giving you any info and keeping your money... crazy.

Wrote by email (vip@betfair.com) to Betfair support already 3 letters this year, asking an update about my situacion, but this 2020 year still did not get an answer from them, only automated reply: “The VIP team will be in contact soon“. I think need to write to escalations@betfair.com , maybe they will help.
