Bovada rebilling deposit from months ago

Anyone else see anything like this before? From Bovada:

    "Hi ,

This is a friendly reminder that today we will be rebilling your previously uncollected deposit(s) from February 2021, please monitor your ********** account for this transaction(s).

As this error occurred through no fault of your own, we have issued you a 150% Match Bonus up to $500 (Rollover 35X Casino / 5X Sports), that can be used on a future deposit, along with a $22 Monthly Milly Qualifier Ticket; both can be found by visiting your Rewards Store.

Should the re-attempt fail, your Bovada balance will be adjusted accordingly and you can repurchase the original deposit(s) through your account, at your convenience. The bonus offer is valid for 30 days and the qualifier ticket is yours to keep.

Once again, we’d like to apologize for the error and for any inconvenience it may have caused.

Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us for further details.

    Warm Regards,
    Bovada Customer Service"

Through correspondence I was able to show them my card statement for the withdrawal (charge hit on 2/7). They still charged my card for the deposit again today, which I disputed as a duplicate on my side. Here was their response after seeing the statement:

    "
    Hi Mark,

Upon reviewing your account and the running bank statement you have submitted, I can confirm that there was no deposit made to your Bovada account on Feb. 7th.

Kindly note that the deposits on Feb 6th were successfully added to your account. We have found no errors on our end.

    Best Regards,

    Bovada Customer Service
    service@bovada.lv"

The only thing I can think of is their processor took my funds and routed it somewhere other than their bank account. But recharging me doesn't make any sense as I can just flag it as fraud.

They will not provide a transaction statement for February to show if a duplicate credit hit my account either.

    Thoughts?

Flag it. Did you authorize them to debit/charge your account any time they feel they wish??

That whole statement is admission of their guilt.

Shady Chinese card processors at it again. Bovada probably honestly believes you weren't billed because that's what they're being told. There's a 3rd party between you.

What's weird is that your bank statement didn't put this to rest. That's usually the remedy in cases like this. Probably dealing with someone at Bovada with little training.

I guess they are saying your card statement only shows one deposit around the 6th/7th February, but your account at Bovada was credited with two deposits.

Does your bovada tx history confirm that or not?

I've asked for exactly this, but they have yet to provide it. You can only search your transaction history for the last 31 days. It was Super Bowl weekend.

My only withdrawal option is bitcoin, but last time I caught a huge downswing in the price and got burned.

I maintain this credit card for the sole purpose of deposits.

Your comment led me to flagging the charge as fraud vs. a duplicate. I think you are correct in that it is probably the 3rd party that skimmed the transaction. That's a beef between Bovada and them though... don't charge me a second time!

I'm not sure you should have done this, unless you're okay with losing the account entirely. I think Optional's read might be the correct one now that i review Bovada's message to you. It sounds like they're saying that they processed 2 deposits to your account instead of one by accident.

Bovada will definitely email customers a spreadsheet of transactions older than 30 days if requested so I'm not sure why they wouldn't do this for you. Maybe the request needed to be more explicit.

How would you not notice/remember if you were credited two deposits? Super Bowl wasn’t that long ago.

I'm totally ok with losing the account entirely. Although Bovada is a great book for betting underdogs.

I am having the same issue with bovada. And I am still waiting for them to send me my account statement to verify what they say. They are being very shady.

I was never aware of being credited with an extra deposit. I would have noticed that for sure.

This morning they have threatened to disable my account because I disputed the charge with my credit card company. They said I will have to “complete my repurchase” to unlock my account. I have repeated my request for a transaction history showing I was credited with two deposits to match the one withdrawal on my side.

I think you should try contacting support separately from this issue and ask for your transaction history covering that time period. It is a completely normal request which Bovada support responds to every without any hassle. I'm guessing you might just be getting blowback because you're already in a semi-heated discussion over a debt they "know" you owe, so they aren't having that debate with you.
