Just download the app, WV casinos are awful and disgusting.

Also if you bet $200+ on a straight bet, it is reviewed by management. Approval is within 2 mins but still, a bit funny.

The application is decent and money in/out is easy (They send you a debit card, you can atm withdrawal or ach withdrawal for $2 each way)

Actually you could go to Rivers casino in Pittsburgh if you want the “sports book experience”. Never been but probably better. I believe PA is smoke free.

Thanks guys for the information. Sounds like I will be going a little farther East to Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh instead. Coming from the Indy area.

I am half way between Tunica, MS and Pittsburgh, PA. Debating between the two locations now. Anyone have comments on the Tunica, MS sportsbooks? Thanks.

Headed to Wheeling on Thursday for a quick weekend stay. Thought I would make a small trip before Conference Tournament week to see if it is worth going back and staying there longer.

If you're south of WV, closer to Tunica, why not stay at Mardi Gras casino, in the south of WV? Wheeling is all the way north.

I mapped it all out for my location and this was the closest sports book drive for me. I haven't heard positive reports about this Sportsbook from several sources so it might be a one and done.

On a positive note, I have never viewed the dogs racing before so I'll be able to mark that off my degenerate list of things to bet on!!!!

Just arrived today. No problem getting down 1100/1000 on a college basketball game. The place looks like a Nursing Home. I fit right in. Here through Thursday. Will push for larger wager tomorrow plus degenerate gambling on dog racing. Posted for those that wanted a follow up.

Was pleasantly surprised yesterday but that disappeared today. Their system was down from the time they opened at Noon and I waited over 5 hours to get wagers down and it never came online. They had no ideal why or when it would come back. Mickey Mouse operation today.

What a joke. Got there today at Noon when they opened. Waited over an hour today as they were offline again and could not take bets. Same thing happened all day yesterday. Gave up and came home. This place isn't worth going to if your travelling a distance. I could only place wagers on one day of the three day trip. They blamed it on their internet connection????? Bush League boys.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
Two West Virginia casinos have suspended retail and online sports betting operations with no additional explanation.
Wheeling Island and Mardi Gras casinos, both operated by Delaware North, have ceased activity at both their physical sportsbooks and their shared online home at BetLucky.com.
Messages from BetLucky support as well as a voice recording played to callers at Wheeling Island echoed a similar message regarding the closure:
Unfortunately, we have decided to temporarily suspend sports betting at our Wheeling Island and Mardi Gras casinos and via the BetLucky.com app. We are honoring all resulted bets and are working to resolve this situation. We apologize for any inconvenience.
BetLucky is the only online option for sports betting in West Virginia. Additional online brands – including DraftKings, FanDuel, and William Hill – are expected to enter the market in the months ahead.
There are three additional retail sportsbooks in West Virginia: The FanDuel Sportsbook at the Greenbrier, Hollywood Casino, and The Mountaineer Casino.
West Virginia is on the brink of enacting legislation that would authorize online casino and poker games alongside online sports betting.
Requests for additional comment were not returned as of the posting of this article.

Just found that article this morning that I posted above. Couldn't be worse timing for them. Hopefully for the local folks this is just a short term problem. They didn't say much until I pressed them yesterday when they said it was "internet problems".

Lottery: Contractual dispute shuts down sports betting at Mardi Gras, Wheeling Island

Lottery officials are working closely with Delaware North management to restore sports betting at the company’s Mardi Gras and Wheeling Island casinos, Lottery Director John Myers said Friday.

“It wasn’t anything regulatory. It’s completely a contractual thing between the company and their vendor,” he said.

Delaware North issued a statement Friday advising that it had temporarily shut down wagering at the casinos’ sportbooks and on the online BetLucky app:

“We have been informed by Miomni Gaming, our sports wagering platform provider in West Virginia, that they have encountered a contract dispute with a third-party technology supplier.

"This has resulted in the interruption of the Wheeling Island and Mardi Gras sports-betting operations, as well as the BetLucky.com mobile app from accepting new sports wagers. We are honoring and redeeming all resulted bets and are working to determine a time frame for restoration. We apologize for this interruption in service.”

“It’s affecting their betting platform, and you can’t operate without that piece of the puzzle,” said Myers, who said Lottery officials have been in continuing discussions with Delaware North management since the issue was first raised Thursday afternoon.

As of Friday afternoon, Myers said Delaware North could not provide a time frame for when the contractual disputes will be resolved.

“We’re obviously hoping it’s a matter of days, and not months,” he said.

Myers said Delaware North has set up hotline numbers for players with questions about the shutdown. The numbers are: 866-797-5306 for Mardi Gras, and 866-807-4007 for Wheeling Island.

The state’s five casinos launched sportsbooks between August and December of last year, but to date, only Mardi Gras and Wheeling Island had launched sports betting apps, under the new law legalizing sports wagering in West Virginia.
Sportsbooks at the other casinos are unaffected by the Delaware North shutdown, Myers said.

“There’s always glitches when you start things up,” he commented.
