    Asianconnect suspended account

    Hello all,

Long time lurking, first time posting. On Sept 27th I received an email from AC stating that one of my upline accounts had been suspended and was under review. I asked AC what this meant, they apologized for the inconvenience and said they would let me know once they had feedback. The next day I had heard nothing so sent them an email requesting an account balance for my records. They replied saying the account was still under review and they could do nothing. After 4 days I sent an email asking what happened to the open wagers on the account and could I get a balance. I also asked for an idea of how long this process would take. They apologized but again said they could not do anything. Since then I have followed up every 2-3 days but basically no information. The last email I sent on Oct 7th, took 24 hours to get a response and no news.

I don't think I have been unreasonable in my requests for information, but at this point as it stands I have a sizeable chunk of $$$'s sitting in upline and no one is doing anything about it. Not only is there the unknown factor of my $$$'s but also lost income.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation with AC? I understand the upline is the problem here, but at the same time AC get paid to provide a service and when something goes wrong...….

So basically, they are not dealing with MB directly; they have an MB agent that is providing accounts for them and now that agent has been f'd? Very bad...

You can do nothing basically, you have to wait for the investigation to be done and over with and only then you will be able to withdraw the funds. Problem might happen if that upline account is closed for good - you might have a tad of a problem to recollect the exact amount of funds.

Hope that this get resolved for you.

It sounds like your account may have been caught up by the new commission rate rules at Matchbook.

Asianconnect will get it sorted out if that is the case. You may lose your MB access but I do not think you lose any money or open bets.

Best to just give them the time they need but if you can't get it sorted out or get too worried, shoot in a Sportsbook Complaint form with your account details and maybe SBR can help.

How long does one wait in a situation like this before getting concerned, given it's been two weeks since the account was suspended?

i had a situation similar a while back. It took a week or so but it cleared up to my satisfaction. Once sbr optional got involved and spoke with AC88 management it was taken care of quickly...I do not think it’s so much AC88 as they have excellent CS but the exchanges they provide take too much time with no transparency to get them information..good luck hopefully settles soon as I know the feeling of waiting...keep us posted

Asian Connect says the commission structure is still 1.25% flat. Guess we will learn from this case what will happen to agent accounts.

Well after 2 weeks 2 days, my account has been reinstated. Asked for some info on why it was suspended (to avoid in future) unfortunately AC said they were unable to get any further details from MB.

Maybe or maybe not, after a week of having the account back it has now been locked again. Not even a message from AC this time, just discovered it locked and had to point it out to them via email. 3 days since it went down and no info at all, had twice as much money in there this time. Will see what happens this time.

MB must not tell Asian Connect when they lock an account. It seems they locked your account for the same reason previously, and may have forgotten about the last time.

MB yes. According to AC the account has now been permanently closed due to "Irregular betting patterns". Seems like these issues all began around the time that MB started bringing their horse racing markets online much earlier in the day than they used to.

Were you jumping on early odds?

    Trying to arb them?

What do you think it might be they are flagging you for?

Yes the only thing that has changed recently with MB is that I am taking early odds with racing, just because they are getting their markets up earlier now. Arbs no.

I see they have just recently started sponsoring Ascot and Cheltenham, upping the stakes with racing?

Surely MB would not boot you for being too sharp on early lines, I'd hope. But if that's the only thing you can think of to be suspended twice, maybe it is.

Why would they even put them up early if they didnt want to get a read from sharps though... just wait until the market has developed if they (their market makers) don't want action on them.

Not much you can do anyway I suppose.

No offer to get me another account, doesn't seem like much point really. If they can't get more info on what the "Irregular betting patterns" are then I can't change anything and would be back in the same boat in a week.

Anyway money returned, everything good from the AC side of things.

that is just the standard cookie cutter response they give...I really love what AC88 offers and they do have good CS and lightning fast withdraws but seems like the communication between their offered books is not very good and or transparent...exchanges want action for commissions... unless it is obvious fraud why would they care if you beat a matchmaker or bet a early line someone offered..

They care about their market makers as they are vital to liquidity.

If the vast bulk of exchange activity is regualr player to regular player they don't care.

Well all they are going to have on their site soon are market makers. Booting out people who bet and imposing a winners tax of 60% lol

With the behavior of books and exchanges, it defeats the purpose of even putting in the time and effort to be profitable in a market if it means they will just eventually boot you/ take 60% of what you win. 9wickets did the same thing by coming up with a liquidity rule to prevent anyone from betting early on an event. In the end, it's just a game of cat and mouse between a book/exchange and a sharp.

off topic but question...Orbitx and 9wickets have exact same odds but pool amounts are way off like one race today at UK orbitx had over 1.5 million matched while 9wickets had right around 1 mill euro matched...so is this the betfair pool or individual pools for orbit and 9wickets? I cant imagine that much wagered at 9wickets/orbitx

    MB: Matchbook, right?

Asianconnect is not reliable? I'll trade with € 2000.

Orbit Exchange very slow odds refresh? Is this true?

orbitx is slower and Mobil is not as good as 9wickets but it has more markets then 9wickets plus does not have low liquidity rule...AC88 though is very good agent
