Last year, Turkish authorities dismantles a major international illegal betting ring that had links to Turkey, Turkish Cyprus and the UK. These illegal betting sites were 1xbet, Fortizsbet, Betvigobet, Marimbet, Erabet, Kolonybet, Jollybet, Astecbet, Adminka, Betfigo, Betpass, Resbet, Mrbahis, Carnaval, Redobet, and Betbizz.
It's tough to understand exactly what the article means. These people are owners of those betting sites or just using them to funnel bets from Turkish people? I think it must be the latter?
I have spoken to a few Turks who work that way. Have a local guy who is basically just another bettor who has got himself setup with access to good betting sites and acts like an agent.
Not sure what it is about Turkey but it must be a lucrative market. Seems to be lots of effort to service it over the years. And lots of rip off operations targeting them too.
