the most important question about matchbook sbr downgrade

i have seen this asked but not answered. why is matchbook no longer a sponsor? there are 3 possibilities.

1-matchbook decided they didn't want to. then sbr gave them the downgrade and started these rumors

2- sbr told matchbook we are not comfortable with your site and wont endorse you.

3- sbr told matchbook we will endorse you but will downgrade you anyway becasue you deserve to be downgarded. matchbook then said we wont pay if we are downgarded.

if its option #1 then sbr looks horrible in the credibility department. if its option 2 or 3 then sbr looks very good.

so, whats the TRUTH PLEASE? WHAT WENT DOWN? TY

It has been stated before MB typically discontinues sponsorship here after the football season.

Look, unfortunately I can't personally confirm or deny as I really don't remember if they were a sponsor here last year although I read contrary to what you state (below in a thread started by you Durito)

When asked why Matchbook suddenly was downgraded from A- to a B, the obvious answer to those that have posted for a few years is that Matchbook has decided not to advertise once the NFL regular season ended.

Sure enough, Matchbook's banner has been taken down. So there you have it, refuse to grease the palms of SBR and your sportsbook rating drops from A- to B.

I'm startiing to think SBR is a bullshit site, sent them 3 e-mails with no response. I guess they pick and choose who to respond to.

Is Matchbook not paying SBR??....is that the reason for downgrade???....I never had problems with Matchbook and I have withdrawn thousands. I am sure this downgrade is related to Matchbook not paying SBR for ads. There are no comments what so ever for the downgrade...both from A- to B and B to B-...WHY?

On the other side, I see sites like Bookmaker and 5Dimes are still rated high. Bookmaker charges ridiculous amounts for withdrawals and u have to wait for ever to get paid there. 5Dimes throws you out so quick if you are winning...Just think..how the hell are these books still A+...coz they are paying huge bucks to SBR for advertising.

I don't truly believe all the ratings SBR gives....though they do rate some books correctly like Greek and Pinnacle. I think SBR should focus more on the users of the site instead of who pays more for their advertisement. And please post comments while downgrading a top book exchange like Matchbook. Its not fair for the users if you downgrade without providing any solid reasons.

vyomguy, you are 100% wrong regarding SBR.

This site continues to protect bettors around the world in 2 ways:
    1. They provide advance warning when they believe a site is going downhill via their ratings system.
    2. They are willing to intervene with any sportsbook on behalf of the player and provide this extremely valuable service totally free of charge.

The reason for Matchbook's downgrade has nothing to do with MB's decision to no longer advertise here.

Matchbook was downgraded due to all of the problems that exist within their sister site WSEX.

Mr. Dozer explained SBR's decision to downgrade Matchbook to keep the ratings of WSEX and Matchbook more in line with each other especially considering football season is about to end and customer withdrawals will be coming in full force.

Just so you know, I am an extremely active, high volume bettor at Matchbook and have requested many withdrawals and ALWAYS received them within a couple of business days. Matchbook's withdrawal processing has always been first rate but that can change all of a sudden as there are never any ironclad guarantees.

    @andywend,

it doesn't make sense to me to reduce the rating of a sportsbook because its sister site is having problems.

If you are following the same logic, 5dimes sister sites are Sportsbet and IslandCasino...both of these sites have a rating of B. So, should 5dimes be reduced to B rating as well?
