    Anbybody Use ParlayMakers.Com Yet?

Looks like an interesting site. (Learned about here a couple of days ago.) They've partnered with Matchbook, so that you send them the parlay that you want to bet and within 20 minutes they've put it up in the X-bets section.

So you don't send them any money. It's all done through MB.

Right now they are offering juice free parlays capped at $100. I can see there could be problems with having a 20 minute delay, but nice to see someone trying to fill this niche. Would be sweet to eventually have a safe place to get 2.85-1 on parlays at decent limits.

I have not tried them yet, and was curious if anyone had who could report their experience. I see right now they have about six wagers up in the X-bets section. It looks like the player must have to put the money up first and then parlaymakers accepts. I would be interested in some reports on how long this takes.

SBR poster Max009 seems to be affiliated with the group.

Well...now I have experience using it myself.

Pretty easy to use...although they didn't get the bet up in twenty minutes. I got my confirmation at 5:09, but not the notification email that the bet was up until 7:30. I'm sure they are doing it as a side thing now so I don't see this as a big deal, but just to report a gap between what's declared and what happens.

8550937 You can do round robin parlays, it's just that you have to create them yourself. Just jot them all down and create them and accept all the bets.

I think these guys deserve our support so they can get this thing up and running.

Weird that someone would do that since they wouldn't even know who they were betting on.

We have fixed this issue now so that when the parlays/teasers/pleasers/straight bets are pending or listed it no longer displays the teams or events of the wager. When the wager is shown as matched then it shows what the wager was. This way only the original requester knows what the wager is before it is matched. I think that should eliminate any wager snatching.

This is on the list of things to do. This and open teasers are the next things to be added.

Max009...Kudos for creating a useful new service. I'm impressed with the simplicity of your design.

Can I ask you what your business model is? Once the true-odds promotion is over, what kind of juice do you see yourself charging on parlays?

Thank you. The prices we list now on the site are what we normally use. For example, on two team parlays we are often above +280 and above +650 for 3 team parlays. We guarantee the best price for parlays.

Max009...I didn't make my question clear. It is: How does Parlaymaker make money?

Right now it looks like the software calculates the true parlay price. So is that the price you're planning to offer? In which case all of your profits would come from the .02 percent rebate from Matchbook?

When the promotion is over, the payouts would be ~ +284 for a 2 teamer. Vig-free would be +300. That + the matchbook rebate is where the profits would come from.

PM is a bit slow getting the bets up.

I'd love to be able to parlay H2 of NBA games, but that would be impossible when it takes 30 minutes+ for an offer to be posted.

seems like you'd volume to do this, I hope you get it, in time.

Taking parlays at good odds adds a lot of risk vs. straight bets. You guys seem cautious enough to avoid correlated parlays, so with volume/limits....you have a chance.

when will you make odd amounts available like $4, $8, and $12 for example so that PM may be even more useful as an out?

I guess the time it takes to post parlays is an indicator that their current overheads are low.

I like this option not for parlays, but handicaps and totals in tennis. MB only had moneylines, now you can get these lines using this connected site, works for me.

They finally put up both my teasers at the same time. Gives the feeling that it is a one-man shop.

    Let's do this.

BTW, I'm not sure what possesses these geniuses to start up a business by trying to one-up Pinnacle. There's that lay104 site too - that's two new kids on the block who think they can make money by offering something even Pinny doesn't think it should offer.

Well...I saw alot of New Orleans, Minnesota, and Seattle teasers there, so Im sure they did pretty well last weekend. Maybe they can invest that into something to help improve the operation...

The delay posting events is actually due to Matchbook. I am optimistic that early next year they will implement some changes to speed up the process. The process works like this...you request the event...parlaymakers sends request to Matchbook to list the event (this takes about 5 minutes)...then we wait for matchbook to list the event (this is where the delay is)....as soon as it is listed we put up the offer and send you an email (about 5 minutes).

Not happy with the service I got from Parlaymakers last week ...

    1. Requested a couple of teasers.

    2. Received the first automated e-mails saying that they received my requested teasers.

    3. Received the second e-mails saying that they had approved the teasers and that they were listed on Matchbook, and that I had 60 minutes to accept the offers on Matchbook, after which the offers would expire.

    4. Somewhere along the way, there was a half-point line move in my favour on one of the legs of the teasers that had been put up on Matchbook.

    5. Parlaymakers pulled the two teasers that were offered at Matchbook, before I had the chance to accept them, and well before the 60 minutes had expired.

    6. Presumably, they pulled the teasers because the line on one of the games had moved in my favour (and against them).

    7. I immediately e-mailed them about this, twice, but got no response.

    --------------

All in all, rather weak of them to pull the teasers AFTER they had already been approved and listed on Matchbook.

Parlaymakers have the option to accept or reject a particular teaser/ parlay, and have rejected plenty that I have submitted. However, once the accept/reject decision has been made, and the teasers/parlays listed on Matchbook, they should honour the 60 minutes as promised.

    Halifax,

Not sure which events you are talking about. We do not pull any offers because of line changes. If the offer was pulled before the 60 minutes had expired I apologize. As you stated, if we make the decision to reject a bet it is before we list it not after we have already made an offer.

Well, you can call it whatever you want, but the net result from my end is the same .. the teaser request was accepted, the offer was put up on Matchbook, and then the offer was pulled prematurely.

I'm sure the fact that the Houston line moved (in my favour) at Pinnacle right around the same time you accepted the requested teaser, and the fact that your lines are essentially clones of Pinnacle, had absolutely nothing to do with the offer being pulled from Matchbook.

Once we put an offer up on MB we do not take it down for line movement. We only take it down when the time expires. As I said, in this case it looks like a mistake was made on our part.
