Don't count on it. They did the same thing for last year, only march madness. I hope to god they throw up some totals soon though.

No way they do the whole season because they can't find a market maker. Do it for the tournament because they don't need one.

If they do put up totals would appreciate a heads up...curious about that too.

if they just did selected "big" games and offered a nice enough discount they might find one somewhere.

Matchbook could do the big match ups during the week during the regular season, they would get decent action.

truth is there is no room for two exchanges, maybe for the huge markets like top soccer leagues, but not for anything else, especially cbb

governments should stop being so stuck up, controlling and oppressive and let people gamble were they like.

imagine if everyone had access to exchanges (many countries have banned them) what it would be like, liquidity would be crazy, and there would be room for at least 2-3 exchanges so that betfair can finally have some real competition

Mushroom exchanges were legal in usa and Matchbook volume was less than it is now, most usa players are not into exchanges other than scalpers and pros which is a small amount of bettors, on the other hand non usa countries where gamblers are more savy and brought up with live betting and exchanges they are heavily into it.

were they legal? or were they just accepting players illegally?

anyhow, back then matchbook was horrible, bad software, bad options, if you compared matchbook and betfair back then you would have to conclude that one was one exchange and the other... something else

reason that matchbook has more volume now is that its getting its act together, and in order to start catching up to betfair they need more players

americans are stuck in the 'local' era

just like most euro citizens, but thats mostly due to ignorance, slowly players are realizing the benefits of online gambling, like limitless options and superior lines and they are making the switch

given the chance, the same thing would happen to us players

If they keep the 0% commission on football (soccer) then it will only be a matter of time before they get bigger. Add in horse racing, and allow API then they have a real future
