Do Sportsbooks Talk with each other?

For instance Bookmaker talk to Heritage or 5dimes about players accounts?

For sure, they also at times give your info to Handicappers. Annoying bastards they are.

I would say yes . I will get a call from one place and not answer . The guy leaves a message. Literally a couple minutes later i get a call from a girl from a sister book of that company trying to get hold of me. This happens pretty often too. If they do that i am sure they will let each other know what your betting patterns are.

Never would this happen unless you're dealing with some serious low lifes. Usually the other way around.

In the UK sharing player information would possibly be a breach of the data protection act. Not that that means anything, information can be shared "unofficialy".

Consider for example that many traders in the industry may know each other from moving around jobs in the industry. Who knows what they discuss when they meet for a beer.

But they don't need to talk to each other about a customer's betting patterns, they can see how you bet soon enough. They don't need a tip off from another book to encourage them to limit you.

Moneybookers have also been known to share information with bookmakers, whether its voluntarily or if the bookie asks for information based on a suspicion I'm not sure. Basically who they send funds to, makes it easy to spot gnomers or a syndicate.
