co-incidence or have i been scammed?

I have recently decided to take a break from gambling online, for at least 6 months.

However, I have several unsettled bets with various companies.

I have been through all the bookies and requested self exclusion, this has been fine for every bookmaker, except one.

Paddy power is the only bookmaker who has voided and refunded my unsettled bets, despite part of a live chat with them explaining I want to take the option (closure/self exclusion) which leaves my unsettled bets open.

The bet they have voided was in a good position, original price 10/3 now 8/11. If it wins, a four figure profit.

Have I got a case here? I have already contact Ibas who told me they don't deal with self exclusions, but that isn't the point, it's a bet they've voided.

    Any info most welcome.

    Welcome to SBR Forum.

If IBAS is unwilling to consider the case as you've laid it out, reword it with the emphasis on the formerly pending bet, but first check the sportsbook's terms and conditions with respect to how they handle pending action in cases of self exclusion.

Also.... what type of bet were they... futures? Just wondering if this is the case buddy? So some wagers are easily voided and others are not depending on how the market has adjusted or the line has moved since the tickets where accepted (if the line has moved or odds changed significantly this can be a problem for a books point of view (IS AN EASY WAY FOR A PLAYER TO TAKE A SHOT)... can you shed a little honest light on the situation so we can better advise you sir. Thanks.

It was a bet on the English Premier League top scorer market.

When I placed it back in August the price was 10/3. Now the price is 8/11 two thirds of the way through the season.

Since I posted here last I have found out that Paddy power is not licensed by the Gambling commission, instead they are licensed by the Isle of Man gambling commission who I have now contacted.

Ibas still haven't come back to me about the complaint not being a self exclusion, but the voiding of bets which should have stayed open.

Well... give it a little more time and see wha happens. I hope it works out for you WT, but that is a strong movement and I personally would hold you to it... good luck though... By the way I work out of San Jose Costa Rica were their is no gaming commission or regulation so it is hard for me to be sure how this will turn out... but again, good luck buddy.
