    Unfortunately this can not stop people who work at the books from abusing your data. Fact is, most of these problems arise from the staff(or ex-staff) at books using the info themselves or selling it to a third party. Also, cops are notorious for selling SS#'s on the black market. And Combos of ID dox (DL, utility, home phone, bank act#'s are VERY dangerous). This is the cold hard truth of the majority of Id theft. The best lock in the world is only as good as the person who holds the key.

    The fact you got the call from the 818 Area code (if what you say about North Los Angeles is true) should tip you off immediately that this was a scam. Someone has tapped into your personal information. You are goig to have to change EVERYTHING, including ************, checking and savings account numbers, and all of your off shore account numbers. They have you. This may have been just a test. This is a very common occruance.
