    Having Trouble with BetOnline..

    I am becoming increasingly frustrated and angered while attempting to deal with the folks over at BetOnline. I have maintained my temper and have been civil throughout my negotiations, but it is so difficult to reason with imbeciles. For some reason, the staff at BetOnline does not seem to understand the concept of conversion rates between worldwide currencies. I recently moved to Spain, so obviously as part of the European Union, the local currency is the Euro. This isn't a problem for deposits since I simply ask W estern U nion to make the transfer payable in U.S. Dollars as requested by the sportsbooks.

    I made my first deposit in Euros via W estern U nion to 5Dimes and the currency was converted over to US Dollars and my account was funded without a problem. However, when I tried to do the same with BetOnline, they did not credit my account in the correct amount. Instead, they credited my Euro deposit straight to USD for a 1:1 rate. My receipt from W estern U nion CLEARLY states the amount payable in USD, but for some reason they either picked up and/or credited the wrong amount. I have attempted to contact them several times, but they keep telling me that they are busy and they will get back to me within the hour and that I would have to contact W estern U nion. I already spoke with ** and they told me that the payee should have picked up the correct amount in USD. I know it's not a terribly long time, but it has been over a day, and I feel that is still too long. A deposit should be a quick, simple, painless endeavor, not an ordeal fought with the sportsbook.

    TL;DR (** not my actual deposit amount, just using an example **)

    _I deposited 1000 Euros to BetOnline via ** in cash.
    _** Receipt says Payable to Panama in $1372.9 USD
    _my BetOnline account is only credited $1000 USD
    _I call BetOnline and they refuse to help me, saying that they "only picked up $1000 USD"



    * I just called BetOnline again. When I gave them my account number and they realized it was me again, they hung up on me. Great Customer Service.

    Seems like there is 2 new complaints about Betonline a week around here but nothing ever seems to make the newswire

    Ridiculous how SBR does nothing, cept sending BBD in who just does his job but with the same old standard reply.
    Soon we will have RX standards here, a watchdog gone rogue.

    Yea. I filled out my complaint form on Monday the 10th about my missing $10,000 wire and Lou from SBR contacted me same day to tell me the wire was on the way. Five days later, no wire, no more emails from Lou.

    Now I'm worried about this site AND Bet Online. Today is payout day 25 ... still no response from BetOnline.

    If it was on the way Monday, then it should have it your account on Tuesday.

    So obviously they were lying by saying it was on the way!

    Oh jeez. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope my situation doesn't evolve into something like that!

    Sent the receipt. I honestly have no idea how or where they got the idea that I could send a flat amount in USD. That would mean I would have paid from MY side in Spain, an obscure amount in cents XXX.XX in order to perfectly match the exchange rate and have it come out flat in USD. BetONline makes me laugh.

    it is actually entertaining to see how selective are the comments of the operators in the forum, if it is someone having an issue with a non gratum sportsbookum (aka not a sponsor), you will get a quick, rapid and swift judgement on the quality of the place, otherwise, lets please investigate first, lets corroborate, lets contact everybody and wait a minimum of 15 days before coming to any conclusion of any of our wonderful places.     Because I am a U.S. citizen and I will be moving back to the U.S. in a couple months. I didn't want to have to go through making a new account at a new book with a temporary address in Europe and then go through the risk of waiting for a payout to an address I will no longer be living at after I move back to the U.S.

    Aaah, my mistake. I probably should have grasped that from your first post.

    Good luck with BOL. Seems like at least two posters on sbr are paid within a reasonable time frame...

    Betcha is you deposited 1000 pesos they wouldn't give you a 1:1 rate.

    Or is the dollar that weak now?
