    888Sport steals

I have played at many shops during the years, even some that have been rated D- or F at SBR. But the only place that have ever cheated me is 888Casino, the casino part of 888sport.

So you can imagine my surprise when I saw that they are now advertising here on SBR.

    The story is as follows:

5½ years ago I deposited 200 dollars at 888casino, i played some poker game for maybe an hour and won 46 dollar. Then i stopped playing and the next time I tried to log in to my account, it was blocked.

Below is the email correspondance between me and the company. The part in cursive is my emails.

    Hi,

Please block the above CIDs (first row is the CID) and ask for a cash out for only the original deposit (they are sign on bonus abusers – most likely part of a group) – you can use the following template:

I cannot log on to my account. I have just today registered and made a
deposit. In the beginning there were no problems. I have even played
quite a bit today. But now I cannot log on. It says its a wrong username
or password, even though they are correct

Dear 888, This is the exact same message you wrote me
yesterday. You tell me I have multiple accounts. I do not have any other
accounts with your casino than the one with username: ------. Your
television advertisement have been running in Denmark for a long time. I
know I have earlier looked at your site, to see what it was about. But I
cannot remember I have downloaded anything or signed up for anything,
and I am 100% sure that I havn't deposited anything, recieved any bonus
or ever played at your casino before. Please tell me which other
accounts you see me having. As I do not know if you people are
criminals, or if someone else is performing criminal activities in my
name. And I WOULD VERY MUCH APPRECIATE not to recieve the same
standard email one more time. Regards

    Hello -----,

This is John from the Operations Department at Cassava Enterprises
Gibraltar Ltd., and I am writing in response to your email.
Our system has related your Casino account to the others in question,
these may or may not have been registered under your name, however our
privacy policy prevents me from providing you with any further details
regarding the accounts it has been related to. Our decision to
discontinue your membership due to its relation to these accounts still
    stands.
This decision is final, and will not be rescinded.
As my colleague mentioned earlier, your initial deposit will be refunded
    to your VC Card.
Please refrain from creating any other accounts with our establishments,
as these will be closed as well, and any deposits made into them will
    not be refunded.
I apologize for any inconvenience caused, and thank you for your
cooperation with us in this matter -----.

    Kind regards,
    John

Hello John, If you are so sure these accounts are linked to me,
then I do not see any reason why you cannot tell me about these
accounts. It cannot say in your privacy policy that a person cannot know
things about his own account. You tell me that you dont want me
as a customer, and I have no problem with that as I can tell you that I
am not to fund of your treatment of me in this matter. But I won 46
dollars and naturally I will not accept that you are stealing this money
from me. I have done nothing wrong. And I cannot see why I should
    be punished. Regards

Hello John, Naturally you cannot tell me about the accounts
which is linked to me. BECAUSE THERE ARE NO ACCOUNTS LINKED TO
ME. Because I have never played at an online casino before I
opened an account at your casino. I searched the internet to find
out which casino to trust, and saw at these two sites www.casinoguide.dk
    www.casinoportalen.dk that your
casino should be a good and safe casino with, I agree this attracted me
too, a high bonus. I guess there is nothing I can do. You can
therefor get away with stealing this 46 dollars from
    me.

    Dear -----,

My name is David H, writing from the Operations Department at Cassava
    Enterprises (Gibraltar) Ltd.

Please be advised, your deposit of $200 has been returned to you.
Therefore, no further transactions will now take place on your account.

We now consider this matter closed. No further correspondences will now
    be entered into.

    End of email correspondance

The first lines pretty much says it all: (they are sign on bonus abusers – most likely part of a group).
They didnt like the way I played and then made up a bullshit claim to steal the money.

I saw justin in the eazystreet video say that he had been aware of three situations where casinos made up crap to justify seizing funds. Well....now he has seen one more. And this one is an SBR advertiser.

As mentioned this happened 5½ years ago. I didnt do anything about it, as I didnt know about SBR at the time, and it was only 46 dollars.

And if the stealing of funds isnt bad enough, they also wrote that if I should open an account at one of their other sites such as 888sports and deposit 200$ f.inst. to renew my SBR Pro membership, then they will seize that money.

Im a little surprised that there havent been any response from SBR.

I would have expected by now the banner had been taking down and a 10 min video released condemning 888sport. I mean whether you are stealing 46.000$ or 46$, you are still a thief. Granted 888sport are petty thieves. But a thief is a thief.

Oh well, guess I just have to be patient.

Personally what I believe is that upper management, decided that the hold % was down for that month and as soon as you won that money in poker, they saw an easy target. They had to show their bosses that there was no more messing around and revenue would be going up. Knowing they couldn't just take the full $246, they went the easy route and slid $46 off the top hoping you would forget.

Looks like their little plan went array. Good for you. Who knows how many times they have pulled this scam and probably other times for $50, $60 or even $70. No wonder this company has been growing like crazy. Its easy when your skimming off the top.

888 are a reputable company. There is more to this than the op is disclosing. The company's software has identified fraudulent practice.

Pareto: did you make a stupid mistake when opening this new account?? For example:

Did you use a password that you had already used in the past?

Did you use a previously used CC?

No matter the reason, I believe there is more to this story. 888 wouldn't close your account without a reason. And certainly not when we are talking pocket change.

I really dont like your insinuations. I have only deposited and played at two online casinos. Intercasino which I used because I played poker at Interpoker. And then 888.

Remember....this happened 5½ years ago....and you are right it is for pocket change. So there really is only two possibilities:

    1. I defrauded the casino by using multiple accounts. They caught me and rightfully took back 46 dollars from me. This made me so angry that I even 5½ years later still have bad blood towards this place. This would indeed make me a very pathetic person.

    2. I dont open multiple accounts, bet bad lines etc. but instead I get really REALLY angry when I am being accused of something I have not done.

    hmm.
i generally trust reputable bookies verification and fraud practice measures. but then, it's probably irresponsible to believe that these szstems operate on 100% reliability.

did you use public IP? someone else's computer?

No, I only used my own computer. And my own private IP. And as mentioned I only played one session before they blocked it.

I know it seems crazy that i get all worked up over 46$. And I can assure you its not about the money. I dont care about the money. I just dont like being treated like a criminal.
