Hedge a bet at the same book?

I won the first two games of a 3 team parlay at 5dimes. I was going to bet the other side and guarantee myself a return of almost 54%. Can I make this bet at 5dimes also? Or is that something that they frown upon?

I haven't done this at 5dimes but I have done it at other books and they have never minded.

A book never cares if you hedge. They look at it as you making a normal wager that your paying juice on. Now if your scalping off them thats a completely different thing.

why bet a 3 game parlay if youre going to hedge? why not just make it a 2 teamer?

    3 Parlay 100 to win 600
    Hedge 220 to win 200
    Parlay WINS +380
    Hedge WINS +100

    2 team Parlay 100 to win 260.

I don't see a big problem with it. You could hedge just to win 100 (initial bet) and be +490 if the parlay ends up hitting or break even if the game loses.

    Lol ofcourse you can hedge.

I had to do this yesterday in Wisc/Butler, I had over for the game, went under for the 2H, lost a little on juice.. not much

Sometimes have to, if you want to break close to even on a game.

Of course, hedge and middle whenever you can with your open parlay or teaser.

No reason to not guarantee a win.

Just make sure you dont ever leave yourself even one point to lose either, liek if the line changed or something, because then it is almost certain it will hit THAT number.

you need to go for the full profit on the original 3 teamer to make up for all the 3 teamers you have played/will play and did/do not get past the first 2 in order to even have a chance to hedge. Hedging only make you have worse long run odds for the set of all 3 teamers you play. do not hedge.

You might consider making future 3 teamers with a fav ML as the third leg.
Then you can hedge with the dog + points and have a great middle shot.

I can't imagine why a book would mind.
