Hope he never plays for united again, no loyalty in the game. Let him rot in the reserves till january.

Rooney should go to Italy and finally learn decent diving.

I'd love it if he ended up at City.

Only 3 places he can be afforded / wanted.

    -Man City
    -Milan
    -MLS

No way in hell Mourinho wants his ass to ruin his team, same with Barca and other superpowers.

by the way look who predicted this 5 years ago: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/foot...td/4692266.stm

He's leaving because he wanted assurances about the future of the club and he wasn't satisfied with the answer he got.

If he did go to City, the fee would be absolutely absurd. The only reason Tevez is at City is because United couldn't do anything about it.

Why would that be? He's only got 18 months left on his contract, wants out so United are not in a position to bargain.

He's well and truly fvcked them over.

As much as I don't really care now that Rooney is leaving, I can't blame him. The writing was on the wall long ago when the Glazers took over. You have Ronaldo leaving, Tevez leaving and you knew what was eventually coming. Rooney is now 24 and he has ambition to win titles and obviously we're not in the position to be doing that anytime soon with our squad (just being realistic)...not when you're in a billion dollars of debt. United has always been a team to be able to turn the team over and buy established players during the transfer market....we can't do that anymore....we've had a few years now to replace the old line (Giggs, Scholes and Neville) yet we did nothing again to address it this season. Instead we buy Smalling, Hernandez and literally a bum from Portugal...none of which are first team players. Rooney isn't as dumb and as ugly as he looks...ok, yes he's ugly., but he can see the shift in power in the Premier League...it's now with Chelsea and City. Money isn't the issue here...another 50K or so to his salary won't make much of a difference (although it could be hush money for Colleen)....he knows the team as it is, simply isn't good enough to win domestically and in Europe...recent results prove that. Let's face it, we don't have the funds to compete with the new forces as much as David Gill wants the supporters to believe....He and management have been lying through their teeth with all this talk that they do have funds to spend...their only excuse being 'there is no value in the market'. What a crock! We are clearly in a time of transition and it's time to say thanks Wayne and good luck (at Man Shiteh)...they have the funds and he wants to play in the Northwest..seems like a done deal.

No they don't. Clubs are smart about their expenses these day, why would they want an extremely expensive player that has a big ego? They are doing okay right now anyways, no need to ruin their clubs by bringing him in.

MLS, Milan and City have the money and need players to save them.
