    Lot of talent.

    Just don't like the 24-team pool that advances 16 teams. Should be 50% max.

    Some big exits thus far. Down to the L8:

    Nigeria/Angola
    Cape Verde/SoAfrica
    Mali/IvoryC
    DRCongo/Guinea

    IvoryC took out Defending Champ Senegal. They eliminated a huge player.

    A lot of outsiders remaining in the field. If I had to guess at a final, I'd say Nigeria vs IvoryC. But this tournament has been filled with surprises.

    Thanks Chucky. Was unaware with this. So much going on I can't keep up with it all. I probably don't bet it until L8 anyway. Ghana used to have a real solid team years ago, but that was then.

    I have followed Ghana closely. They have a very young team. Average age = 22.5.

    Top Ghana goal-scorers have been Gyan and the Ayew Brothers. If they had a good young scorer, the Ayews would have been passed up.

    Down from the previous Ghana standard. Ghana would have been in World Cup final 4 if not for PK miss after Suarez Red-card.

    Most of the big teams have been wiped out:

    *Ghana/Algeria: don't get out of Group.
    *DR Congo - takes out Egypt.
    *So afr - shock Morocco.
    *Ivory C - takes out Sengal.
    *Nigeria - knock out Cameroon.

    I mentioned the two big teams remaining. Otherwise, it's going to be a relative minnow to the Finals.
