This is one of those friendlies that is not a friendly at all. The last time these two teams played a friendly, back in 1999, there were five red cards...
I'm talking about Brazil - Holland, this afternoon in Brazil. Holland has been hard to beat under Van Marwijk, but come on. There are three reasons why this should be an easy win for the home team.
1) Brazil is at full strength, and Holland is very much weakened without: Sneyder, Van Der Vaart, Stekelenburg (goalie), Van Bommel, Janssen and some others. This means that Brazil should easily control the midfield. Forget the Dutch possession game, forget the precision passes from Sneyder to Robben for quick counter attacks. This is a Dutch team without teeth.
2) Revenge. Holland eliminated Brazil in the World Cup last year. Do you understand how much that loss hurt in Brazil? People in the street were crying.
3) Brazil is in preparation for next month's Copa America. Holland is just unnecessarily extending the season for its players with this South-American trip.
