    According to Reuters, the flag took four months to sew, cost $33,500 and was made to celebrate Peņarol’s 120th anniversary. It measures 310 meters by 48 meters (1017 feet by 157 feet) and weighs just over two tons, which meant that it took about 300 fans to carry it from the club’s headquarters in Montevideo to the Centenario stadium, where Peņarol hosted a Copa Libertadores match against Argentina’s Independiente on Tuesday night.
