Wager tracking using our handles would be awesome

I'm sure you boys are familiar with Wagerline. I think it would be awesome to have wager tracking here at SBR as part of your forum account or something.

I, as well as many others like to track our real bets using spreadsheets....or a site like wagerline. Sites like Wagerline make it easier. I place my real bets, then I go to Wagerline and put in what I've played for the day. It takes less than a minute.

One thing Wagerline does not provide is the ability to input you own wager amounts. They give you a choice of whole dollar amount units. (Hint, Hint)

Another thing they don't offer is halfs, quarters, etc.

I think it would make SBR the most complete package on the web.

    Just a thought guys........

i agree. also i would like to see an upgrade from wagerline. Why not make it a real contest where instead of everyone picking wager amounts between 100 and 500. You give everyone the same bankroll at the begining of the season. I.E. 10000 Dollars this way you can wager what ever you want on whatever game any where from 10 dollars to the full amount but once ur start up bankroll is gone you are done for the season. This way we will be able to judge not just who are the best gamblers but who has the best moneymanagement skills cause isnt that what winnning at this game is all about anyway.

There is nothing out there that really meets the wager tracking need right now and we are looking at some options. To do it right it would be a major project but we are certainly getting the requests.

Here is an idea. I worked for a fantasy sports company called gamedaydraft.com. While I was there I headed the marketing team but I spent allot of time hanging out with the programmers. Whenever we needed stats which we did everyday because it was fantasy sports based on a daily basis rather then seasonal. The programmer used something called a scraper this scraper would scrape the stats from other sites. So is there a way that you could scrape say all of bodogs lines as soon as they are posted. And then develop same software as if we were using a real gaming site.

one more suggestion. I am sure that allot of the revenue for the site comes from advertisements for sportsbooks. I would contact a few of them and see if one of these sportsbooks would like to sponsor a wagertracker on your services. Its free advertisement for them and their book and also they might get a few new customers out of it. Its a win win situation

    Strictlywinners,

Have you seen http://www.sbrodds.com/ ? It sounds like what you are describing is tracking using a real book feed. It's a good idea and may be part of sbrodds' evolution.

OK, 1st and 2nd hlvs... I rarely hear about quarters unless it's big NBA and NFL games. Maybe that could go in as a "prop"?
