How is this possible when there are only 69 cases dead per day in the entire state?
Yesterday there were only 16 deaths in the entire state!
If 130 degree dry heat doesn't kill this I don't know what it would.

obviously, the corona deaths are on top of normal deaths. this is a big time for people to die in arizona with the heat etc

The reports we see online and in news is only Corona virus related deaths... They don't report to the CDC when people die from heat exhaustion, cancer, etc.

Still the covid death count is not going to overrun the morgues as they were never overrun in the north who had many more deaths per day than the south.
NYC was the only morgue overrun.
If they are getting overrun it can only mean the COVID death count is way higher than what they're reporting.

I'm sure they aren't 200 room hotels.
Maybe one of the morgues only has 10 spots? so if 69 die a day and they stay in there for 2 weeks? Sounds like they could fill up pretty darn fast right?

It's simple, they are severely under reporting COVID deaths in the south.

NYC only northern city that the morgues were overrun and I think they had around 22,000 deaths.

Among the recent deaths were a Northeast Baptist Hospital patient in San Antonio who was in his 30s, a Grand Prairie man in his 40s, a Garland woman in her 60s who had no underlying conditions, a 73-year-old man who was about to go home from a prison rehabilitation program and a baby boy in Corpus Christi who wasn’t 6 months old yet.
I understand the intital reaction to shutting things down in March, there were a lot of unkowns, but now are wave is coming and now is the time to aim to flatten a curve. We know more, even if there is still so much to be discovered.
The first shut down may have been a disaster, but that mentality shouldn't be lost because of it. Local, regional, national, whatever, there is a curve in broader parts of the country, the next couple of weeks could be really bad on the system.
I don't think much of the US is prepared yet.
Sports could be doomed state by state.
I know people don't want to hear it but the entire US should shut down for 6 weeks with no states deviating to fix the problem.

Guys, the coronavirus task force plan should kick in any day now. It’s a mobilization of resources like we have never ever seen.
Why don't they sent mobile incinerator units for cremations instead? There is no need to keep bodies frozen.
Especially if they(morticians and ME's) don't want to handle the bodies. Whether people die from Covid or not this is just not a good time to die. You definitely don't get the proper send off because of Covid concerns in spreading the virus at a funeral.
