Christmas is basically Saturnalia with some Christian stuff thrown in.
Most of the Christmas customs originated with pagans. Mistletoe, wreaths, trees, etc.
In an attempt to Christianize a pagan holiday, they threw in some stuff about baby Jesus, but if someone wanted to celebrate "Jesus's birthday", they certainly shouldn't be doing it on December 25.

Jesus wasn't born on December 25th, or even in December.
He got baptized at 30, and the Bible accounts add up to about 3 1/2 years of life.
He died around the time of Passover, what many people now celebrate as Easter.
If you take the LATEST POSSIBLE DATE for either of these, and count back that half a year, you don't get anywhere near December.
