    This is the main vaccine Australia bet on too. And it was announced here a few weeks ago the govt thought they had made an error as it wasn't the best one, as it has a low effectiveness rate in some segments of population.

    But it's still supposed to be effective in reducing how bad severe cases can get, and is also the first one they think will stop the vaccinated from spreading. Which the other vaccines do not appear to do.

    at least it seems to prevent severe cases. if we can get to that level where you pretty much know you will be mild to moderate only at worst, that is good to me.

    IF they put all the vials of the astrazeneca vaccine in a field. Could we shoot the vials with the Jewish Space Lasers and get it to be as effective as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine?

    Do you think Pfizer / Moderna vax are as they claim to be? The J&J one was only 70% effective vs known Covid19. I wonder if they rushed to market undocumented results to get those massive contracts???

    it will be like the flu i agree. you take the flu vaccine and usually that is like 50% to 70% effective against the flu and supposedly it makes the flu a lot less severe if you do get it. i can see covid being the same just bc of too many mutation possibilities.

    Well yeah. At Warp Speed no less.

    Hopefully versions 2 or 3 will be improvements.

    It'll probably end up being an annual version thing like the flu vaccine longer term I'd guess.


    Unless you are a dedicated anti-vaxxer there really is no good logical reason to be too worried about whats going on. We've all gone through our entire lives regularly taking vaccines and not many can argue that hasn't been a good thing up until now.

    Not true... My wife got the Bill Gates approved Pfizer vaccine and since the new variants have been found, she was instructed by Bill to connect to a USB port on a computer that is running Windows software to download the updated vaccine. Its simple and safe. Updates in about 3 minutes.
