Absolutely, Becks has a sale on Ribeyes and Porterhouses every Wednesday. I’ll do medium rare every once in a while but mostly medium with mushrooms and onions. Yummy.

We go to the high end grocery store that's local and pick up a a couple quality pieces of of Filet and I cook them at home. My filet at home is even better than the restaurants version.
    Here's the recipe:
I season with fresh ground salt and pepper only on both sides. Cook on a skillet on high on once side for 4 minutes. Flip it, then immediately put it in the oven at 400*. Cook for 7 minutes to get to medium. Take out of over, put on a plate, pour the drippings on the steaks, and cover with foil and let sit for 5 minutes

Best way to cook a steak IN MY OPINION:

Sear it first at very high temp with only salt and pepper 30min before while sitting out at room temp

Then flip every 30sec - 1 minute if thick

Tired of these clowns saying put the steak on then leave it alone and flip again...then you are done

Yes, that makes the middle pink/red (however you like it)....but the outer edges of the inside or brown and overcooked. if it is a 2 inch steak doing this way will only make the middle 1 inch pink/red

flipping it all the time makes the heat travel equally. You will have a greater area of pink/red doing it this way...about 1.5inches of pink/red

rest for 10 min in foil

    My Top 5 Jerry:

    1. Mastro’s Ocean Club CityCenter
    2. Golden Steer- off strip
    3. Hawthorn Grill JW
    4. Stripsteak Mandalay Bay
    5. SW Steakhouse Wynn

Don’t sleep on a nice cut at Piero’s, Echo & Rig, Top of Binion’s or Oscar’s either. Even Andiamo at the D solid. Nobu will melt in your mouth but over priced. Tons of tail in there.

Bought my first Tomahawk Ribeye the other weekend, picked it up at a local butcher shop. No real taste difference from a thick bone-in ribeye (which is very tasty), but it is super bad ass to hold one of those, and worth the price of the bone for a rare occasion.

Steakhouses in NC suck, they would rather sell you fried catfish.

I order in steaks from Lobel's of NY, or from the Snake River Farm in ID. and cook them myself on a charcoal grill, none of that gas grill shyte...

I’ve heard the very best way to make steaks is sous vide to get the exact temperature then sear for a minute on both sides.

Garlic powder and black pepper and char broil it up or BBQ it up.. Get cute and fancy and you could ruin a good piece of meat..

    Keep it simple..
