is it hard to learn how to make apps?

I have an app idea, how much would it cost to create an app?

$100/hr minimum for freelance software development. Likely take days, probably weeks. Not $600.
However, you could do what I did in college. When I began my sports memorabilia business I built a website and had a friend majoring in comp sci build an automated program into the website to accept bitcoin. Took him a day and gave him $100. Was glad I did cause roughly 20% of revenue was via a few large customers who used bitcoin.
So...
If you want cheap software development, go to a college campus and see if any kids want to help pay down their student debt by $600. However, that would likely be creepy if in your mid 30s.

Search for the app you want to build. Chances are someone's already done it, years ago.
Its very easy to make apps with basic interfaces. Its only difficult if specialized algorithms or data structures are involved.
